  • T1 da best T2 cool T3 eh kinda TSalvation.... What the fuck is this shit

  • if you think about it terminater salvation is a prequel to this one and a sequel to terminater 3.

  • I like the first film better than the second. Call me old fashioned, but Michael Biehn was a great hero (far better than an anorexic, 80 pound, 13 year old boy looking Linda Hamilton). And Linda Hamilton (as an actual girl) was a far better victim than a punk ass bitch juvenile delinquent that I WANTED to get killed. Arnie was a great hero, but a better villain. I like the second movie, but the first was the best.

  • fuck you ass whore!

  • The original Terminator is one of the finest films to ever grace our screens. I personally like this better than T2, i love the dark atmosphere, 80s ultra violence. I never thought of calling it a "horror" film but in alot of aspects it is. The soundtrack is absolutely immense aswell. Brad Fiedel is legendary. Oh and how can we forget Tahnee Cain and the Tryanglz's songs in TechNoir!

  • Sorry, i love the first movie, it's a classic, but for me (like James) T2 is MILES better than T1, just EVERYTHING is better in the sequel.

  • I love this movie! Great story, interesting characters, big action scenes, its just great!

  • I personally think the first two are the best. The third is okay, but it just isn't the same. Salvation, I can't give my opinion on because I've never seen it.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger said that after this movie he would never play a villain ever again. 13 years after this movie he plays Mr. Freeze in (ugh) Batman and Robin

  • i think of the Terminator series a little l the Godzilla series. The first movie was very dark in tone, and the terminator was a menace beast known to destroy mankind. Then, Terminator 2 is kinda skipping over a couple Godzilla movies, getting to he's a goodguy. The movie isn't dark, and the Terminator is now fighting against another Terminator, kind of like Godzilla...wow i'm a nerd

  • i used to be obbesessed with this series, until i saw Salvation.

  • 1st movie is better... tha means that the 2nd is bad ? no... not at all

but the first movie have different atmosphere is more dark and is human vs machine.

i love the 2nd but in the first one u dont have a machine to save ur ass.

and if u guys say the seccond is the best just because u like it is good

but the top comment is lame... who gives a fuck about imdb and critics...if somebody have to tell u that the movie is good so u watch it ur a shit head : )

  • @WhereThereDude

Yeah the 2nd movie is like Supeman vs Hulk. I can't explain why it is boring but it is.

  • @Apjooz i never say the movie is boring ! ! ! is better movie than any movie made in the 2000's. if u ask me 10 years a go i will say that the 2nd is better... but is just because i was a kid... and bring it a boy to the movie (john connor) is like the movie try to get younger audience.

  • i thought this movie had it all. Great cast, outstanding music, epic plot, one of the best shootout scenes, and linda hamiltons boobs.

  • don't you hate it when the top comment is a reply to another comment

  • The first is better because it is scary, and fear is vidible even in Kyle Reece's attitude and eyes, the dark scenes where it is just the Endoskeleton are nail biting and tense, yet the second one is always favoured

  • i've always liked the second one a ton more. sarah's transformation into on-the-edge "crazy" woman is awesome and i love the breakout scene.

  • Sorry but I think the 1st one is better. It may not match up in terms of action scenes but it has a far better story. A lot of things that made the 1st one good like the pre-destination paradox which means Kyle will always be John's father and The Terminator will always be destroyed but it's parts will be used to start Skynet gets destroyed if they're able to change the future. And I'm sorry but Arnold is way more badass as the villain than the hero and Kyle Reese is a BAMF!! Literally!

  • 2029 not vey long from now

  • okay personally i like both the terminators movies but in my opinion i think the first terminator, haveing kinda of a horror and suspenseful element was what gave it its charm and makes it stand on its own. Terminator 2 and Terminator 1 both have different tones and Terminator 1 should be praised for its tone and what it started and Terminator 2 should be praised for taking what the first did well and building on it as well as being a good sequel which is a pretty tricky task.

  • the sequel,T2,maybe better in some aspects, but it really kills the mood to see the terminator has the good guy,besides,T1 is an historical figure in the world of filmmaking

  • I must sorta disagree. Its a 'thinkers' movie tho much easier to follow than say like the Matrix or even Batman Begins (if you got into it as an average joe movie goer and not really familiar with the history, background in comics and basic origin stories) And tho it come to think of it I guess it is not absotluely required to see the 2nd one, I think such a viewing (of the 2nd and skippin the 1st) should be avoided if @ALL possible. I also agree about the 3rd. IT only suffered from the comedy!

  • I actual never seen any of these movies....

  • @Youngphyconaut dude, you gotta se them. As James said they are great!

  • @Youngphyconaut

Do yourself a favor and watch em!

  • @Youngphyconaut Well then why are you still here? GO SEE IT! They're wonderful films and anyone who hasn't seen them is missing out on a lot.

  • Great review. I agree; the first two Terminator films were awesome. Terminator 3 was okay, but it didn't seem all that great. Though, TX, the main antagonist from the third film made it a note worthy experience. To this day though, I can't seem to decide which is my ultimate favorite in the series. The first movie was a lot like a horror film with all the suspenseful music and the tension that builds up, but the second movie is the most well remembered in the series.

  • bbbbad to rhe boneee

  • Terminator 1: Most Awesome Movie In Existence

Terminator 2: Most Awesome Sequel In Existence

Terminator 3: Arnold and that hot Terminator

Terminator 4: WHERE THE F*** IS ARNOLD!!!!!!!?

  • @TheBestComicKing at the end......but its a computerized version :l

  • @TheBestComicKing Arnold technically was in there.

  • @TheBestComicKing At the very end in the freezer.

  • 2nd movie and star wars (original) are the greatest science fiction movies the world will ever see

  • am i the only 1 who fell wen arnie shot theelf ear 100 like if did so

  • First Terminator is the best.

  • 1:50 lol

    there,fixed

  • 1:51 lol

  • I´ll be back.

  • talk to da hand

  • The Terminator WAS actually classified as a horror film at one point.

  • it's(TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY) the greatest movie of all time

  • First of all, the James Cameron Terminator movies should not be compared to the 2 more recent terminator movies, there totally different and feel like they don't deserve the title terminator, and I disagree James, I would recommend this movie even over the second one, both movies have a similar storyline and chain of events, just better special effects story wise it added hardly nothing to terminator mythos

  • Fuck you asshore

  • the original was the best in my opinion

  • My question is where's the leg in part 2. I mean, they got the arm and the chip but not the leg.

  • @scottieman2 The explosion probably destroyed them beyond practical study, whereas the arm was virtually unscathed.

  • @TheProducerPeople Oh, okay.

  • TechNoir

  • @Ozztastic57 Wow. So you just say one word that James has already said in the video, and it becomes a top comment... Are you, sir, Chuck Norris?

  • Lol he throws a stick of dynamite at him he doesn't die but u think the motorcycle would

  • @totalcarnige It wasn't dynamite it was a stable nitro glycerine compound, the bike was fine because it didn't take any direct hits.

  • I am a HUGE Terminator fan. Terminator 2 is MY number 1 Favorite movie. T3 what a piece of shit.

I liked Salvation also a lo! I don't know why everyone hated it. We save Kyle Reese as a teenager and the rist of the T-800 Terminators. Plus the Crappy Robots before the T-800 which the Terminator in T2 explains about.

    I loved it!

  • @Fuzzy192006

    You're an idiot.

  • @buuski Fuck you, asshole!

You do know that you are replying to a one year old comment, right ?

  • @Fuzzy192006

    i don't give a shit

  • Hey james review the aliens movies not the first one

  • And of course that had a big budget sequel as well!

  • The first was made on a shoestring budget. It was made on the budget for the catering of the second film! Comparable to Mad max's budget.

  • I 100% agree with the horror aspect. The dark tone the film used, the synthesized music, and the several different murders in the film make it seem more like a "sci-fi horror" then "sci-fi action."

  • @TheTrolologuy we'll agree to disagree respectfully ( who would have thought on youtube!).

  • Both The Terminator and T2 are amazing movies, but you can't compare T2 with the first one. The Terminator is a classic. T2 is ALMOST as good as the first, but The Terminator os ultimately better.

  • My number one fear is that machines will one day take over us, and this movie is a good example of that fear D: but don't get me wrong I love the movie, but it also kinda scares me when watching it because I do wonder if this will be our future, and will I live to see it or not? I sure hope not D:

  • Every time a new Terminator Moves comes out, it's like the call of duty to me. Just like an addiction. Although T4 seems like a joke, (too much CGI and nothing left from the original movies) I gotta watch it.

  • Talk to the hand xD xD xD xD

  • I saw The Terminator when i was a child, like 7-8 years old and it scared the shit out of me! Specially the last scene where Kyle and Sarah fights the Terminator

  • The Terminator is one of the best thrillers ever made. Don't even mention The Terminator with one of those dumb slasher movies. It's the difference between Psycho and Friday the 13th. You just can't compare them. So, don't try.

Terminator 2 is one of the greatest sequels and greatest action films ever made. It's stellar filmmaking, period.

Terminator 3 is every example of what you shouldn't do with a film, a sequel or a beloved franchise. Kind of like Alien 3. They spat in my eye.

  • Fuck You Asshole XD

  • The first was so depressing...

  • @iDrumitup like Arnold Schwarzenegger said in kindergarten cop, stop whining. lol

  • @iDrumitup haha jk

  • terminator was good but t2 was a mindblowing movie of 1991 3d was ok i liked the fourth one better then 3 here isthe order of terminator movies i like t2 t1 t4

  • when i was little i used to think the terminator was the scariest movie ever. probably cause of the scenes where sarah's friend gets killed and when arnold goes and kills the other women named sarah connor

  • the stopstart animation did make everything scarier

  • Why would you only see one of them?

  • People really took this movie as like it was really gonna happen even to this day.

  • Why does he keep making this video private?

  • T1 had everything!

The girl from the 20 minute workout (Ginger), memorable catch phrases, a topless softcore sex scene (BONUS) and actors who really wanted the movie to do well.

Not bad for a low budget flick from Vancouver.

  • im saorry but when he said the sequel was the best of al time i hit a new vid, the sequel was bad. the first movie was genius.

    CHECK THIS OUT

    terminator 1 was rated 18

    t2 was rated 15

    t3 was 12

and salvation sucked balls. it became a money making exercise after the first install.lower the age rating =more money. FUCKERS

  • @jecoharman

Weird. I actually liked Salvation A LOT better than T3.

  • @SuperHns yea im sorry salvation was better than t3 was just trying to make a point.

  • T1 A+ T2 A- T3 B- TS B+

  • When it comes to the Terminator movies, people will probably choose either the first or the second as their favorite. I actually have a friend who said the 3rd one as his favorite, which surprised me. But for all the bad reviews, it's still entertaining as fuck, and Arnold is just as awesome as ever. It was pretty funny too. So I could kinda understand where he was coming from.

  • T1 is more horror themed, since they're always constantly on the run from the Terminator with no idea of how to defeat it. T2 is where the explosive action's at.

T3...meh...I wouldn't have watched it if Arnie wasn't in it.

  • I love how they took a pic of Michael Bien in this film and they used that pic for the Metal Gear NES cover art.

  • terminator 1+2 are the best movies ever made, i hope they make another terminator with Arnold and James directing!!

  • Disagree with the guy on highest rated comments, T2 is far superior to T1, and not just because of special effects, EVERYTHING is better.

  • fav movies are predater 1, the scen wiht the elder pred in 2,avp 1,termerter 2,4

  • @optimus102697 "termerter?" You mean "terminator?"

  • @chaonerd180 terminator

  • i definitely say the first one was better

  • if you only see one of them..... watch the first one.... the original terminator...

t2 is soft.... you say t1 is tame? .... in t1 he goes around murdering women... in t2... does anyone die???? ok so the terminators die.... ummm

  • @johnnyrockerfella

    1:13

"The ACTION scenes are good, but todays movie goers may find it a little tame."

  • Oh shits, didja see the date?! The end is upon us in less than 30 years!!! OH NOES!

  • @Datleco ....well if you want to go by the movie... the "end" would have happened on aug 29, 1997.

  • @hipnotyq LMAO, that's true, it's probably covered up if so. XD

  • he buddy are you okay in there? it stinks like someon died in there need help?

    yes/no

    or what?

    go away

    please come back later

    FUCK YOU,ASSHOLE

    fuck you

  • @finlandman123 I did that too :D

  • What did he say,"Fuck you asshor" haha i know he said ,"fuck you asshole"

  • The Terminator kicks ass!

  • This always reminds me of sonic SATam.

  • I preferred Arnie as an Antagonist in the Terminator, not a Protagonist in Terminator 2.

  • Yeah, terminator 1 is still the best!

  • Terminator Salvation isn't out by the time you're doing this review? The film came out May 2009, and this review was uploaded December 2009. I don't get it...?

  • @TheBoomViper He made this review for his website before the movie, and posted this on Youtube afterwards.

  • @TheBoomViper this video was originally uploaded on his website 1 year b4 it came on youtbe. its the contract.

  • terminator 1 is for me the best terminator of all

  • I love the first one and second one. I'd have to say the first one is better. Dark and Stylish, An Unstoppable foe, Kills 17 police officers in one single scene, Damn....Original WOW factor.

  • rating of worst to best:

Terminator 3 (i consider it a "what if" type movie. not part of the actual cannon. if you see as apart of the cannon, youre gonna hate it)

Terminator Salvation (good also, but a lot of changes were made to the mythology that weren't necessary)

Terminator 1 (one of the best sci-fi horror movies ever made)

Terminator 2 (best sequel ever made)

  • will there ever be a terminator 5?

  • @SuperNintendofreak1 yes there will be Terminator 5. look on IMDB.com for more info

  • @goldwaterproductions OK THANKS IF ITS TRUE I'LL LOOK FORWARD TO IT

  • @goldwaterproductions sweet there is going to be on I hope it has arold in it

  • Its been years since I saw either of these movies. At a young age (younger than I should've been watching "R" movies, lol), I liked T2 a lot better, but that's probably because there was more action and more interesting things to look at. They'll both be on TV back-to-back, so I'll make my judgement (no pun intended) then. Undeniably, they're both good.

  • wuold be easy to terminate the crawling t-800 just flank it and cut its head of whit a disc cutter, both of them are great.

  • Something that always bothered me about T1 is the fact that throughout the whole movie, the Terminator moves perfectly naturally, even if a little stiff. However, the second he's back to his metal skeleton, he starts moving in a "Mr. Roboto" style. I understand this is due to techincal limitations with animating it at the time, but it's still something that bothers me.

  • @masterplusmargarita

I guess we could chalk it up to him getting battle damage, but yeah it's the early 80's

so yeah they had to work with what they had.

  • true true

  • OH BOY! I CAN'T WAIT FOR 2029!

So i can die in a epic lazer fight Vs some evil robot you cannot have a more epic death that this!

  • Bullshit! You always have to see the first one first, no exceptions.

  • cinemasscre = cin a ass kicker

  • Definetly the best of the series, a true classic of the 80's!

  • Alright, time to get woking on terminator 1.0, wait i mean friendly walle 1.0

  • People in Robotics clubs need to watch these movies. Lol :P

  • dudes in the scene where arnold removes his eye he goes from a T-800 to a T-400

  • @sanitary103 True. The Terminator was made in 1984 on a budget of 6.5 million dollars. Terminator 2 was made in 1991 on a budget of 100 million dollars. That's a pretty big time and budget gap!

  • @blaket18 I concur!

  • @sanitary103 The first movie could of been a one movie known masterpiece and have remakes but, all of a sudden came out T2 which is 100 times better and killed T1

  • @sanitary103 every one has an opinion and I agree with yours. James does a great job at summarising a movie

but does not have to prove opinion

  • @sanitary103 In part 2 ? I didn't see him in part 1?

  • @sanitary103 it all comes down to opinion,is that where your gettin at,cuz if so i agree

  • @sanitary103 I respect your opinion, but I can't really watch the original terminator. It's not a bad movie, but as it says the terminator is too powerful, doesn't build up any real suspense about whether it's going to be hurt,he just mows down everyone. and it's too slow. Because there's only humans to fight him, the action scenes aren't as amazing, unlike when the two terminators are going head to head. You can't fault being ahead seven years in technology, but it doesn't help it age well.

  • @kyuubinaruto17 Yeah it's just a matter of personal opinion. When I saw T2, I was 11 and man I was blown away so lets get that straight! It's a bad ass movie no doubt. I just like how Reece and Sara are completely at a disadvantage compared to the Terminator. In T2, Arnold is obviously not as powerful as the liquid terminator but he still can protect better than Reece can. Also, part 1 is a bit darker in tone/mood, which I like. T2's comedy though funny, kind of feels forced into scenes.

  • @sanitary103 Yeah! The first Terminator is so much better. Even though the second one has better effects, and story, and characters, and action, and dialogue, and acting, and audience feedback, and critic reviews, and IMDB score, the first one has... uh...

  • @LiveLyricsX yeah i agree but you have to give it credit it was a low budget film unlike t2 which had more of a budget.

  • @LiveLyricsX the directions better in t1. and the acting's better in t1

  • @LiveLyricsX Both are awesome. End of story.

  • @LiveLyricsX your an asshole. I agree the second one is much better(even though I do like the first) but it's his opinion for god sake. If we all diid exactly the same thing life would be boring. It's always interesting to hear other people's opinions. So don't disrespect his opinion ok.

  • @LiveLyricsX i swear i watched t1 when i was like 4 or 5, the part where the terminators walking through in that stop motion thing used to scare me

  • @LiveLyricsX Better atmosphere. I'm not saying it's better, but they're both amazing.

  • @LiveLyricsX The first one has a sex scene and that's about it. A very gross and awkward one at that.

  • @LiveLyricsX the first one has a EPIC antagonist.

  • @LiveLyricsX You do have a good point but the first terminator has 100% of RT, Terminator 2 has 98%

  • @LiveLyricsX Actually, I do believe the first has a higher rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And in the case of this series, why split the hair between the first and second? Their both possibly the best movies in their genre, and, in my opinion, they are some of the best films of all time. For me, I can't decide between the two. My favorite depends on the mood I'm in. Bleak look or uplifting look? Either way, these are the best action films ever, and people shouldn't argue over them.

  • @LiveLyricsX i laughed at IMDB score....

  • @LiveLyricsX How is this comment the highest rated? Arguing over two masterful films, how stupid.

  • @LiveLyricsX

It also has a terminator who wants to cry and go to a vacation...real great characters there!

  • @LiveLyricsX The 1st one was the very 1st of the genre, that's what...

  • @LiveLyricsX dude if he like's the first one more then the second i don'r have anything against that just let the guy (or gal) be

  • @LiveLyricsX Yeah the first one is better. Synthesizer score kicks ass

  • @LiveLyricsX A better Rotten Tomatoes score? Well, there's a start

  • I disagree, you have to see the first one before seeing the second because it gives you a sensation of suspense when you see the T-100 terminator grab John in the second movie

  • 1:52 is he say ass whore or asshole ???

  • i dont like the terminator series because they have that apocaliptic feeling, and i dont like it.

  • Song at the start?

  • @lijkel bad to the bone by zz top

  • whats that song at the begging

  • i feel the that that t1 is more a horror movie

  • I´m just wondering who the F hasn´t seen at least the 3 first Terminator movies in they´re life?Is there even such person on this planet?...not counting infants.

  • (Give Me Your Cloths) He Always Says that line when he is created.

  • terminators 1&2 kickass,awsome,jawdropping,holy shit,unbelivable,magnificent get the picture

    terminator 3 pretty good

    terminator 4 it was ok

  • Notice the individual theme music for Reese, the Terminator, and Sarah, and how their themes define them perfectly. Sarah, the innocent (but spunky) everyday gal. The Terminator, the relentless mechanoid that will carry out its orders even when its reduced to a fleshless crawling torso of do0m (Michael Biehn even talked about its relentlessness even in its torso form in an interview). And Reese, the savvy and dedicated soldier-survivalist. Reese's character theme is one of my all-time faves.

  • Michael Biehn is THE action hero of the '80s. For some reason, his name isn't as iconic as Arnie, Sly, Kurt Russell, or Bruce Willis (or Bruce Campbell). 'The Terminator', the original, has one of the most amazing soundtracks ever! Kyle Reese is the most tragic character of the whole series (not including the Kyle of the 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' which I don't know enough about). Tommy Tallarico definately did 'The Terminator' on Sega CD justice with an excellent soundtrack.

  • @IggyHazard

    BUT!

Metal Gear to Nes features a very MB looking Solid Snake on the front

    That's pretty badass ^^

  • GO JAMES!! GO JAMES!!!!!!!!!

  • right now, i'm watching terminator 3

  • lol..."Fuck you, Asshole." Gota love Ahhh-nold! '84, year I was born.

  • A hero and villain from a post-apocalyptic future, the latter being a robotic assassin, and one of the greatest love scenes in a major motion picture. Need I say more?

  • you think that movie is good try THE BAD NEWS BEARS TRILOGY. come on ! who agrees with me on that for james to review ?

  • what does michel myers have against babysitters

  • @MrSombrero100 he dont licke to gow to bedd wen hi was a kid dath is way hi dont lick babysitters.

  • @dcspartan117 Lets hope he doesn't lick the babysitters, cuz that would be weird.

If you dont get it I was making fun of your spelling error.

  • This is where I disagree with James.

T2 is good, but the first is way better. It's got a much darker grittier feel to it.
