Alex just to clarify, the Canadian parliament was suspend by the Prime Minister due to political deadlock with Opposition and the Governor General on behalf of the queen needs to sign off in order for this to happen. Thus it wasn't a motive of the Queen, just a poor out dated system in place to for suspending parliament.

That is a great idea and beckons back to a time where a community worked together for the survival of the common good. If only it were that easy to make the dollar obsolete and get rid of the banking systems all together. Those people have too much power over the powers that be. They will never let their precious money go.

@daro2096 i think you misunderstand, by dissolve parliament, it means that under the direction of the government she must clear the previous government of there powers and call the new election, these "powers" are ceremonial, completely overseen by parliament, she has no option but to abide them, it does not mean she can just tell the government that there out of a job as it seems you are suggesting, if she dissolved parliament before she had been told to, then parliament would simply ignore her

The royalty has no last name, because their last names are all Rex or Regina.There is nothing sinister abut that, imo, it's just the way people were named since the roman empire, to indentify who you are in family with, like the son of Sam being named Jack Samsson. Prince Phillip is Greek not German, and the the royal family have not had any formal powers since 1215 when the Magna Carta was drawn so that the monarchy could not abuse there power to oppress serf's unless they had committed crimes against the laws of the lands, Alex Jones, from what I can tell many many people think that you know nothing of American politics and history, so maybe you should bear that in mind when you try to dabble in other countries histories and leaderships.

Since Charles 2 we had in the UK a constitutional monarchy(hope I have spelt that right). Basically the king or queen since then has been a figurehead. They still have some powers but none of them have dared to use them. The queen has power to close parliament and call elections but she has never exercised this power. The real power lies in parliament.
