  • I dislike people who are smarter than me. Just sayin"

  • intiligent

  • whats the biggest you have this up to?

  • A very cleaver build. Well done ;)

  • looks cool but I could only watch as the volume is pour, therefore I ended up skipping a lot. must fix if you want people to share. :-)

  • Brilliant design. very quick and incredibly strong. Needed headphones to hear you speaking, though!

  • this is stupid

  • WOW! Very cool engineering. :-D

  • utterly astonishing. is there a way to see it after installation on the frame?

  • Very interesting product!

    A rectangular Geodetic 'dome' ;-)

  • Excellent!

  • r u using hinges? this would make very expensive!

  • this is great im thinking that this could be a great bug out shelter/small cabin. building in a box i like it. with a 4x4 you could set this up fast and just about any where nice job guys.i cant wait to try and recreat what you have done.

  • far to slow to be competitive!

  • Thanks for the video!

I don't think there is any problem with audio or voice here - everything is fine.

For those who criticized: grow up! it is not a cartoon - sound or voice is not the priority...

  • Great ideas guys, keep up the innovations.

  • Have fun sheathing this type of roof. Maybe practical on a doll-house, but not up in the air on any sizeable structure.

  • @carpenter1510 its not that hard

  • Once you nail plywood on there that roof would be twice as strong.

  • That is really cool!

  • great system, however completely agree with the comment about the voice-over. Terrible

  • Hey, did Carl Sagan, by any chance, do the voice-over??

  • Congratulations your videos how to build roof are very instructive!

  • the guys voice made me fall asleep.......did i miss anything?

  • Looks flimsy!

  • Is it possible to make round style to fit on top of a Yurt?

  • I live in MA and bought one of these roofs in July 2011. We made a pavilion by our pool. Everyone who has seen it loves it. Very fast and easy to assemble. Al was there every step of the way and answered our questions. We got an interesting looking structure that is going to outlast me. Great product, great value and Al is a wonderful person to do business with. Life is good with the "world's fastest hip roof". Thanks Al for being so brilliant!

  • To address a couple questions posted, we install the roofs both with and without overhangs, depending on customer preferences. Ie: in high wind area like Haiti, no overhang enables wall sheathing to tie building floor plate to roof fascia, which is extremely strong. We produce a "transition" plate, which goes between the typically flat wall plate and the sloped roof frame. Total construction time prior to assembly improves with each unit. :)

  • I'm not talking about nailing the fascia board to the top plate either without an overhang. I'm talking about the fascia board being an overhang 6" or whatever you have it at. Or do you not have an overhang and your nailing the fascia board flush with the outside of the top plate?

If so, what do you do when having an overhang?

  • How do you nail it to the top plate after you have screwed the fascia board on?

You said at the end assembly time is 8 minutes. You didn't mention the time it took to make the roof before assembly. What is that time?

  • Volume please... bring up the volume of the audiotrack. If it wasn't because the S sounds pitching-out like a far away whispering, I wouldn't have even noticed there was a voice over. I guess one can't have it all, making a great product and making an as great video with audible voice over! ;P Good job, now please fix the video.

  • its cool and all for smal scales. and by no means take this wrong, but when i did construction a small hip roof that big 16" on center, with the rafters precut (like your system) would take one person less then 5 minutes to complete, and with good plans, 2 ppl (1 cutting 1 hanging) it would only take 10 to 20 min.. and i bet its cheaper too...but i do see where this would come in handy. but faster..no... it would be faster then an average person with no plans, and never done it before.

  • can't hear a thing

  • looks really strong and easy to build. congratulations.

  • the design is amazing,

  • First off I want to say, I love the system. It is amazing! So please don't take this as a real "criticism" it isn't! I think your system is well worth being excited about!!! Your voice over needs to be scrapped. The copy is fine but the volume is far far too low and also the emotion is all wrong. Now you don't need to carry it quite as far as Billy Banks did but it is something to shoot for. Your system is brilliant, now go make an audio track that matches the obvious value of the product.

  • I don't agree with the criticism :-)

The dead pan narration is much preferable to any sales pitch, - let the product speak for it self!

The volume Does need to be higher though !

  • amazing, keep doing the good work. More power!

  • Freaking awsome!!!! I love the design
