  • This rendition was no where near the one that was played in 1991 at mandalay bay in las vegas. Music arrangement is everything in the making of a song. The funky good time at mandalay bay was the best ever version.

  • hardest workin man in the show biz? more like the sweatiest man in the show biz. lol

  • Just take a hard look and you see Prince's whole shtick. He owes a lot to JB too!

  • It's always the Right Time to get a fix of some Funky James Brown. "Say It Loud!"

  • Everyone's saying MJ owes a lot to JB like he ain't show him mad love. When MJ turned 49 they asked him who would he want to spend his birthday with and he said he wished James Brown was still here.

  • Sweat man

  • Those dudes flippin' their trumpets is so cool

  • r.i.p the legend who was humble and a freaking great singerrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • i wasn't really a james brown fan... but he had a few cuts i liked... funky good time was one of them....but i like the studio version much better.... one thing that i never liked about browns music was the key changes in the middle of the song.... always irritated me....

  • this version of the song is a little bit tame compared to one or two others

  • James Brown>>>>>>MJ

  • Great tune, respect.

  • ya know what let's stop this crap now , JB AND MIKE ARE GONE they were fine with each other how dare we create conflict in there name .... mike knew who the King was No one has forgotten JB TP BW MJ LV CM OR all the Temps and Tops ,Minni Nat we should just sit back and jam not act like some brats .. IMO

  • Michael jackson could not buff james browns shoes ever!!!!!!!!!!!

untouchable ...sorry mike rest in peace but this is the one and only king, and we all know who the prince of the throne is!! RIP

    ps elvis sucks!!!!

  • those at the first row, they're snifing right?

  • This is the face and the voice of Passion! RIP!

  • is that morgan freeman back there on bass??

  • there dam white teeth

  • one in the trillion

  • i never realized how awesome funk is until today, very bass heavy ( i like that), very catchy, and overall very good music

  • JB SWEATS FUNK!!! The Godfather of Funk and Soul.

  • he was called the godfather of soul for a very good reason.

  • James Brown was MJs musical Dad. Period. Anyone who has seen the Motown audition video for the Jackson 5 would be able to see this!!! RIP JB and MJ - thanks for the memories.

  • MJ said NO one influenced him more than James Brown - and he cried when he said it.

  • "The Hardest Working Man In Show Business" ya digg!

    The God*, Father of Soul

  • R.I.P JB :(

  • that is very true, Michael J idolized Mr. Brown, he called him a genius!

  • This makes me want to dance!

  • IMPOSSIBLE... You only have one inch and suffer from SHORT MAN SYNDROME! HA HA!

  • RIP my man! Everyone crying over Michael Jackson but no one is remembering JB...what the hell? MJ owes ALOT to JB!

  • @maxlimbo007 A huge lot of people remember James Brown, I'm sure.

MJ's death is just more recent and so it gets more attention of those dumb mass medias.

  • @maxlimbo007 very true my man.

  • @maxlimbo007 amen 2 that brother, we love mike but james was the one and only king....sorry elvis!!!

  • @maxlimbo007 We sure remember JB. He was the king of soul and the inventor of the dance style that MJ mastered so well.

  • @maxlimbo007 What the hell are you talking about?! A lot of people cried over JB he had a 2 month funeral and his body was kept up on the earth for 6 months and his body was stolen, I think a lot of people knew he died! And MJ give respect to JB cause JB was his inspiration. So, let's not act like MJ was ungrateful!

  • @maxlimbo007 Many people remember JB, but MJ was just more recent. Besides, MJ himself always thought of JB, and always understood that he owed so much to JB. Both should be remembered. RIP

  • @maxlimbo007 mj always said he owes alot to jb but like james brown once said to mj god bless the child that got hes own and believe me mj got hes own

  • @maxlimbo007

probably because JB died pretty old compared to Jackson.

  • @maxlimbo007 JB is the true soul hero....

  • The largest of the soul! An incredible artist.

    rest in peace forever.

    saludos desde argentina

  • JAMES BROWN IS AMAZING

  • excellent commentary sodamnhappy26... hats off to ya! starrrkrazeee!

  • R.I.P James Brown

  • killer horns !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • killer everything

  • I have this video...killer performance, nothing like it.

  • The man was dripping sweat, under all of those lights, but sang and moved to perfection. Performances are rarely like this as much as they try to be.

  • ya..why does anyone give him a small towel..

  • James Brown was and will always be the ultimate entertainer. This man never took breaks during the performance or had to cancel shows because of fatigue. He gave you a show from start to finish. Today's boot leg artist dont know how to work a stage and the audience like the artist during this period in music did. Mr. Brown was also very clever and witty. Loved to watch him. Left you wanting more! RIP!
