I am Canadian of Indian origin. I visited Sri Lanka in 2003 and was there when the Tamil Tigers and Sinhalese were celebrating one year of peace because of the ceasefire. I could see how happy everyone was, Sinhalese or Tamil. I have nothing but good memories of Sri Lanka, and while I cannot physically differentiate between Tamils and Sinhalese, all the people I met were really nice.
