I agree. That dude just likes to nitpik. Krober is obviously the guy that dresses like hes out of an orvis catalogue. A pole for every application and probably still sucks. he pulled a nice brookie out with a three weight in 3 mins. Whats the big deal again?? Hahaha Krober your a pompous ass. 3 min fight and the guys goin on about fighting it to a death of exhaustion. hahahahahah. bring your 10 weight to get them in under 45 secs, krober will be happy. hahahahahahahahahahahahahah
What fool uses a THREE WEIGHT to throw a big mouse pattern?
What fool uses a tiny THREE WEIGHT to beat-to-exhaustion a big beautiful and noble Brook Trout that deserves Proper Catch and Release Technique to maximize it's survival? Obviously a newbie to the sport; a rookie with an ego so large he finds it necessary to film and broadcast his masculine feats.
@tedkrober First of all, I was using the 3 wt because until that point I had been throwing much smaller flies and needed the more delicate presentation. Secondly, I kicked the camera on within seconds of hooking up, which means you can actually time how long the fight lasted- no brook trout that size is going to come to hand in much less time. That fish was released unharmed and swam away vigorously. You're obviously the self-righteous type who loves to nitpick.
