  • I heard of BOSTON for the first time when third stage was release....... I couldnt believe what I was listening to.....the lyrics, the sound, the story of how this album came to be....before you go to bed one of these nights ,turnoff the lights put this CD on...brace yourself for an incredible MIND TRIP.......and no, im not on drugs :)

  • One IDIOT!

  • Good song < It explains what all us men should be !

  • Making "Third Stage" must have made them half deaf, one of the loudest albums ever made, for my money.

  • as epic as Queen,.. an historic tribute to humanity... you can feel the torture...

  • Love this song. A real man sees the value in others, and respects that virtue, regardless of any personality irks. :)

  • @fernbern0131 Well said. I couldn't agree more. Bravo

  • What does it take to be a man?? Very difficult to answer. Must be a follow-up to A Man I'll Never Be!

Boston is and will always be my favorite group!

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • R.I.P Brad Delp, you sang thd truth! Assholes may appear to get the chicks but the sensitive guys win in the end!

  • yes, i did know bradd, and yes, we did eat lunch, and yes, he did know how to play a guitar in ways nobody else could, cuz he used a violin bow to do that. lol.. now you know

  • Their Best Song

sure better than more than a feeling ^^

  • This is fucking beautiful song

    great composition and guitar sound

  • Part 2:45-2:56 always tears my heart open with how sweet Mr. Delp sounds...most powerful point ever in any song that I know.

  • I actually just discovered this song today...and I've known about Boston for years. Such a great message in this song.

  • @Supercharge87 Have you heard there latest 2 abums? Walk on and corporate america?

  • Great music! Thanks BostonWalksOn!

...and yes, when Jesus gave His life for us and suffered on the cross and in the garden of Gethsemanae, he thought of you, me and all people, taking our pain upon Him so that we could return to Him and our Eternal Family.

Nice to what you said on your channel. I am a humble disciple as well. Just a man but with His help, I am more.

Congrats to you BWO for being 17 and so smart. Stay true!

  • I love this song. A man is in your actions, actions that are good, and in your heart ,and soul, not about being tough and cool. Unless a person puts away childish ways he can never be a man, no matter how big you are physicaly.

  • name a better boston track than this?

  • Does ANYONE know where i can download this?? i can't find it on the internet or itunes!

  • @fratdogs Its on I-tunes. just search Boston's third stage album

  • savioursoul666 you're a bigot who take the scripture out of context to justify your bigotry, your unacceptance, your intolerence.

It is delusional and violent monsters like you who made so many crimes against humanity happen, you must be proud of your accomplishments!!!!

Gelileo imprisoned for telling the truth,

the justification of the legality of slavery,

    killings, more killings,

the vicious assassinations of the wise women of Salem in MA and also in Europe.

  • vicious hate monger and fake savioursoul205 666 immoral liar unacceptant and intolerent hypocrite and hateful.

now go back to hell and keep hurting children, it;s all over the news, the kind of trash you are all.

  • damn it hits me... its a feeling ....

  • Unfortunately MA elected an anti-Christ monster on a senate seat in 2010. I was born gay but always denied to myself the right to love because of social pressure based on misquoting of the Bible. In 2010, MA back stabbed my bf, an American by electing a monster opposed to God's love because he doesn't understand it. A typical anti-Christ pro-hypocrisy republican Scott SHIT shitty and shittier Scott brown. In 2010, GOD is not getting away Scott free, Got is stuck in shit

  • You were born chemically imbalanced maybe but not gay. There is no such thing and no such thing as a "gay gene" it has been disproven. Just like there is no pedophile, murder, rapist...etc..etc gene. It is a choice and it goes DIRECTLY AGAINST the Bible and what God himself intended. I challenge you to show me where in the bible God condons homosexuality, you can't, in fact, I can show u over and over where is calls it an abomination. Whats worse?, trying to convince others, & children its OK!

  • To the layman, the "correlation" of genetic structure with behavioral trait means that trait "is genetic"-or "inherited".

It means absolutely nothing of the sort, & it should be emphasized there is no human trait without innumerable such correlations.

  • Time & again, scientists claimed particular genes or chromosomal regions r assoc with behavioral traits, only to withdraw findings when they were not replicated. "Unfortunately," says Yale's [Dr. Joel] Gelernter, "it's hard to come up with any" findings linking specific genes to complex human behaviors that have been replicated. "all are now n disrepute."

Stop spreading your lies and propaganda.

The evil lies within you. U can not take the bible, distort it, conform it, to meet your agenda.

  • I love Boston, after so many years fighting who I am, I finally came in peace with whom God wanted me to be.

  • El himno al hombre!

  • very good music! Ⅰ like BOSTONand Ⅰ love!please come back to

    Japan.

  • I really love this song... When I listen to it, it makes me feel... Like a true man... When I get irrationally angry, I ask myself "What does it take to be a man?" And I can usually start thinking as I would want to... To do what I believe is right...

  • @Neodynamics Yep!....you've got it...The old timer.

  • A beautiful song, very touching.

  • the will to give and not receive, the strength to say what you believe, a heart to feel what others feel inside to see what they can see...fuckin love that part

  • Such a wonderful album, my favourite of Boston's by far. The only song I absolutely cannot stand on here is 'Amanda'. Yup, guess what my name is? Their rendition is magical, but has been ruined by having twerps squawk it at me on karaoke - the song is forever spoiled by the memory of that now. Thanks for uploading these songs, this whole album has got me through some of the hardest times of my life and Napster doesn't have it grrrr. xx

  • best boston album ever short but very sweet

  • In 1991 when I was 5 years old, living in Mexico might I add, I received a batch of CDs from my father. Among these were albums by The Outfield, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Boston. The first one I listened to was Third Stage by Boston and loved it. I didn't know what the lyrics meant at the time, but now I know and I have enjoyed the same music every day since. My friends say I don't like good music because they would rather listen to whatever rapper or Jonas brother is out now.

  • This album is a hell of a listen all of the way through. Thanks for uploading it man!

  • One word to describe this song: Powerful.

    Another word: Beautiful.

You could use both words to describe the whole album.

  • It seems Brad had questions about his role as a man......like he wasn't confident and very unsure of himself.....like there was something lacking he couldn't reach, but wanted to desperately. Although he was known to be a very nice guy, he himself felt a void that was never filled. This man truly had a wonderful heart and soul, even though he was quoted as having a "very lonely soul." This music is so original that no matter what................. you know it's Boston! Music for the ages.

  • That was very well said. : )

I hate when people dwell on his suicide. We can never fully understand why he did it, but we shouldn't even dwell upon it. We should think about the beautiful music Boston made, and just hope that Brad found whatever he was looking for in the end.

R.I.P. Brad, Boston music has literally given me a life to live.

  • I'm pretty sure Tom wrote all this stuff

  • Tom did write most of the songs for BOSTON, including this one.

  • I was responding to losper69. By the way I appreciate your posts but where is the rest of third stage?

  • some of the songs won't upload due to copyright. if you have a song you want, i'll try to get it up

  • oh no don't worry about it you've done enough

  • @StephenHardyMusic Try to search we're ready and cool the egines

  • Stunning song, the strength to say what you believe.

  • Están chavos...

Ésta rola expresa conceptos mucho más allá de su comprensión.

  • rip brad... greatest band on the face of the Earth

  • I love this album and this track very much. Shame the album's so short!!

  • I was born when this song came to life in 1986

  • yeah & I was 12 in 1986

...what significance does any of that have?

  • I used to play this song every time I celebrated my birthday. That is no less significance right?

  • @trevorduvall

    You guess!

  • in my opinon bostons 1st album is there best but dont look back is awesome aswell:)

  • I agree, their first one is probably the best, Don't Look Back is just my favorite.

  • @malachymcnulty The first is great even though Third stage took 10 years all musical instruments are acoustic

  • I used to hate life, and constantly be depressed. I never really had friends because of all the moving I endured all the time, and my self esteem was always super low. Boston is like a great a friend to me. They've always been there for me, and they completely changed my outlook on life. It's only because of Boston that I stopped being a recluse in my house. They just made all my problems seem so little and insignificant.

I love all Boston members, and hope Brad found what he was looking for.

  • I used to be Christian, and because of that, I was constantly afraid. There's a lot of evil shit in the bible. I don't doubt that there could be a spiritual side, but I'm not labeling myself. Nobody really knows what happens after death. So, I'm just gonna try hard to enjoy life, be a decent person, and hope for the best.

  • I'd rather go thru life thinking there is a God, then find out there isnt when I die, than go thru life thinking there is NO God, and find out there IS when I die !! Think on that !

  • Dude, that's fine, I never said you were wrong, damn, why won't you just respect my beliefs? I respect yours, I never said there is no chance of a god, and I never said I didn't think there wasn't one. I just don't want to label myself to any religion. Religion has just stirred up pointless fighting. I just try and enjoy life, and realize it's a gift, no matter how we were started.

  • I know where you're coming from. At times Christianity has brought the most pain in my life but it has also brought the most joy. It's a double edge sword. Some people, under the guise of religion, afflict so much harm. Others, following Christ's example, can be so very loving. I am still a Christian but I've become more of a realist, living one day at a time and looking forward to heaven. Hang in there, bro. May God's love and peace be with you !!!!!

  • Lose the fucking attitude, you piece of shit!

  • That post that Iron Crue made was actually me. My brother signed in on my PC, and I forgot to sign him out. If I don't clarify this, he'll be really pissed at me, he's hardcore aeithiest.

  • my father loved boston. im 19 and im in love with this classic rock band while loving alternative rock all over the radio. ill show boston to my children as well and hope they receive the same gift of loving this band. thanks for posting this vid.

  • I agrre with you spiderdragon1969,I was reading right now a book of Orison Swett Marden titled "Pushing to the front" 1894,maybe you have read it,and when I got to the chapter ii,Wanted a man",I thought of this song and went to you tube and saw your comment and I hope that you are that kind of man that your children will always be proud of to have as a father, stay the same,no matter the consequences, good luck Orlando

  • If my kids ever decide to put together a collection of my photos to be shown on a sreen at my funeral, I'd love for them to have this song playing in the background!!

  • Esta canción es algo así como el himno de todo hombre adulto...

    O no?

  • Hauntingly beautiful song. Thank you.

  • The words to this song are amazing!

  • ive been wishing this song were more popularized on the net for SO LONG.

    thankyou

    its hard to find

  • i know what you mean.i don't know why it wasn't posted before.

  • Hey man, thanks for posting all of the Boston that you have. Which album do you think is their best work?

  • Your welcome. I like all of it so much, but my favorite is probably Don't Look Back.

  • @nateboutcher better if it isnt popularized then people who dont like boston will start liking it because its popular.....but yes it shouldnt be hard to find either its an amazing song such strong lyrics :) and the sound of boston's guitars
