I can't see the cops who got killed sharing any guilt in any of this, and they deserve whatever commendations they get for their courage, but lets face it, their deaths were not exactly entirely by someone else's hand. Its not like the bomb was set in ambush with the intent to kill, it was part of a blackmail scheme against the bank. Now whatever we might say about banks, I don't think it should be common practice to use bombs as a means of getting more customer service.

@855h0le Hey hole, these are everyday people with families. I knew Tom Tennant, the police capt. He was great guy who loved his family- he almost married my sister. She would be a widow, her kids left without their dad. So we feel a great amount of sadness for his family, knowing it could easily have been us. He was a good man.

actually the other banks in WOODBURN got fake bombs so they believed it was fake too. They took it inside because it is safer for a bomb to explode in a BUILDING not in a busy street that could KILL people!! The police were checking the bomb to make sure it was fake when it went off!

Bombs are like fireworks.The bank is located on a busy highway and this occurred during rush-hour.

If the bomb were to explode outside.. More people would've been seriously injured and even killed.

The officers were doing their jobs to protect innocent citizens while putting themselves selflessly at risk.

we should honor their bravery and courage and stop making ignorant comments about something you don't understand!

The news states they thought it wasn't a bomb so they took it inside the bank. Yes they are brave heroes for the job they choose in life and at the same time they did their jobs poorly and risked many other people. Both are true. Neither effects the other.
