This is the best version. I am a fan of Judy, but one can't do better than this. Nelson Riddle was the arranger and conductor. He only made one other album with Mathis: "I'll Buy You a Star," my favorite album of Johnny Mathis. It is absolute perfection.
What happen to that video with Johnny Mathis and the Lennon Sisters singing "Johnny One Note". That was a great video, I hope Youtube didnt remove it. I know about copyright and all that but that was so old, it should be considered public domain. I hope it gets put back.
I remember seeing the Lennon Sisters singing with Johnny Mathis that one note song... it was amazing to see him sing that one note all the way through.
PetePeterkin, I'm very partial to the as you call it, "young" Mathis but then I'm partial to the older Mathis too, in fact I'm partial to anything Johnny sings. He's my favorite singer in the whole world. I was able to get tickets to his December 10, 2009 show in Santa Rosa, CA I'm hoping he will do meet and greets that night with us fans, I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. Thanks for this upload, it's great.
Hi Cybernautev, Thanks for this gem! Have you seen him singing this with The Lennon Sisters? It's real cute! I have it as a "Favorite," on my site, but I have so many "Favorites," it is getting hard to find things.

Yes, I saw the video with the Lennon Sisters. I was impressed. He held that note for close to two minutes!
