Vinnie Moore - Defying Gravity (Studio Version)

I don't know if I knew how to play this, if I'd even want to. Painfully great stuff from Vinnie. This album in my opinion, was his best tone/tech/song writing all in one package. I love how he used guitars through a Digitech modeler for the"synths" (I think it was) and recorded all his tracks at home on a fairly cheap budget. That Daking Mic Pre gives it a great studio sound, I really thought this was a big time console/expensive production.

I like this album because there are a few songs that are more like 'As Time Slips By' and he is just untouchable in technique and breaks away from the typical formula. I don't think anyone will be playing this song on youtube note for note. No way.

well i was totally surprised by his new album `to the core`...i think hes at his best now...using slide and combining indian, jazz and neo-classical...all in one rock-fest!!...of course u gotta love awaken the madman or even earlier - the journey or as time slips by...or if your in a total rockin out mood...check out `panic attack from his new album...the most awesome shredding on his new dean.
