Cobra is lighter than the Vette. The Cobra still holds the world record for standing start to 100mph and back to Zero. Every kit Cobra I have ever seen or read about has one of these engines: 289,302,427 or a ford crate engine. Never heard of one with a GM engine in it, as Dogurasu said. But anything is possible.
@surrynet 0-100 back to zero, is the ultima GTR, a kit car you can buy, it has a world record of 9.42 or something like that seconds, you should check it out

That would be leaf spring. As in monoleaf. Works better than most coilover setups because of the way it is designed. And that would be Fiberglass and carbon fiber on the Z06 and ZR1. And the AC doesn't have a pushrod motor?

In case you may be wondering, the LS7 is still regarded as one of the best engines on the road by technicians from every company. It makes over 500 hp and can get damn near 30 mpg whiles still being abused everyday for over 100K. Don't hate pushrod motors because there is a reason they are still around.
@blown262 30 mpg lol what are you smoking. its obvious that smaller quad cam motors can make the same power get better mileage and have broader powerbands with higher redlines. doesnt mean pushrods dont work. lots of trucks do better with pushrods and OHV motors are less expensive to repair and produce

It can actually get 30+ as the window sticker on my 07 says 16city (13-19mpg avg.) and 26 hwy (22-30mpg avg.) Please re-read my comment entirely. Ask any TECHNICIAN (you know, the guys who actually work on the cars, not the ones who debate on YT) for Ford, BMW, Benz, Toyota etc. and they all will agree the LS7 is one of the best ALL AROUND engines on the road. Cost, reliability, power, etc

Oh you're right, maybe it's just the techs in my area that think that way. I must live in some far off land where everyone thinks differently. Tell me why there are so many reps from other companies that don't visit the regualr GM factories, but take countless trips to Bowling Green, paid for by the respective company. Why does T-TEN have students taking trips to the Vette plant? Because they know the power of the motor and base engine design ideas on that very engine.
@blown262 ok so because you cited two events that proove interest in a motor means that its the ebst ever created. someone could argue that a ford modular 4.6 service engine is the best ever, as well as any bmw double VANOS straight six, or maybe a hybrid powertrain from asia. its always going to be how you look at it. everything has its strengths and weaknesses
