  • Consider this post a deep bow of respect.

  • @ozowen Thank you!!!

  • This was taped a very long time ago--I should know, I was there! This was done by my father, the late Grandmaster Michael Wollmershauser. He was one of the only Americans to train under Grandmaster Choi. Today is the 7th anniversary of my father's death. What a surprise it was to come across this on You Tube. I can never grow tired listening to his voice. Thank you for this gift! HapKiDo was my father's passion and religion. He truly loved his art to the core! Thank you & Best Wishes!

  • That is absolutly true, this was filmed & recorded by Master Wollmershauser. I deeply appologize for your loss. He was a great martial artist. I'm very glad to hear that this video could bring you some kind of joy.

  • @KPAlphaWolf I owe a lot to your dad. I miss him.

  • How awsome is this video! So great to see an original Martial Arts legend teaching. Thank you for sharing this video with the you tube community. I love the "Police Mans Elbow" lock at 2:10.

  • Oh my God, this is heaven. Excellent. Can you one even 'touches' this man, a true grandmaster in a class of his own. Thank you for posting this in the You tube.

  • perchaps He was the only one doing good martial arts, unfortunatelly his blend of Aikido, judo, kung fu and tkd lost its order and turned into an unstructured mix. Now "Crapkido instructors" are trying to copycat also BJJ just to make their technical house of cards mix bigger..

  • ok , choi yong sool was a fine Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu ( the art mother to Aikido. Sool was a servant to s. Takeda the master of M. Ueshiba in japan) exponent, but where is his legacy nowadays? is it in the unsavory mix of modern hapkido (tkd + aikido), no wonder BJJ and kyokushin karate/ kickboxing guys keep beating them up! don´t believe me check the videos of bjj vs hapkido, or kyokushin vs hapkido. right here in you tube!

  • The Video we are seeing was transfered from an 8mm tape to a projection screen, then on to a VHS cam-corder, so because it is a copy of a copy the image quality is not a good as the origanal.

  • The man on the left is Michael Wollmershauser. He was one of the only Americans to train with the Grand Master. He is the voice you hear in the background.

  • Wow -- any chance of getting this video cleaned up some? That is some priceless footage.

  • Well it probably is relatively clean, except youtube's poor video quality and conversion fails to do it justice.
