Free energy is better than tidal flame though

I tend to do Dash-Free energy

Always have a 70% chance of hitting

Problem is everytime I dash I'm punished for it. Golbez just goes to that combo of that laser then lightning attack.

I feel your pain against Golbez. He is a very tricky character

I play by difficulty lvl though, so i got owned alot most of the time in story mode

Until i reached Bartz/Zidane's story was when i could win against the main boss and elites(1-5 times)

I try finding a replay of me fighting Golbez.

For that dash in real close and block and then move out of the way of the laser or block that as well, he will be stunned for a good while and should be easy to hit. Also his air BP attack where he attacks you with orbs if you are far enough away he will try to flick you instead of sending out the second orb, guard that and he will be vulnerable. Also you should try Shift Break, it is a decent HP attack that will catch the computer pretty easily.

I can never hit with Shift Break. Oh well I'm not playing as Zidane anymore. We're not compatible....as if we ever were.

Chances of Shift Break to hit are pretty slim for a map like this i don't think it is a good place to use it.

Your not the only one that has Golbez trouble, he gets my goat a lot too. ..So frustrating too, especially when a mission is involved. :/

By the way, how do you record mideos of PSP games like this?

Yeah, like most people say, use Free Energy spam. It's way more useful. Either that, or use Zidane's Twister, where he throws his Double Saber below himself. Launch the guy, and try hitting them with the HP attacks.

I skip most of those Champion fights on my first playthrough, they're really not worth it. >_>

well there's your problem, you're still using Tidal Flame.

Stellar Circle 5 is where it's at.

at least for non B2H moves. For Brave to HP Meo Twister it all. Just take a special day, and master Swift Attack (midair) Rumble Rush, and Twister. Those all link into Meo Twister, which is an HP attack. much better than Tidal Flame.

Zidane isnt hard for me to use, his attacks are very useful i think.

zidan is the second character i mastered.

Haven't used him yet. I've been messing with Garland and Sephiroth. Good Guy's wise....I guess Cloud and Squall right now. Trying out Onion Knight since that little dude is FAST.

I understand the frustration. I hate when the CPU dominates the Stage Bravery points.

I use Zidane, I would do the opposite of you. Iwould spam Free Energy. You have to be right in their face for it, but FE is so fast its insane. Works great on Ultimecia since she needs to be far away to do real damage.

IMO Golbez is the worst to fight, I beat the hard guy you were fighting but It took me quite a few retries on my first run

haven't played zidane story yet but i quit fightin agains these guardian like monsters -.-

hope they stay on that level when i play one story again :/ otherwise i need some training ^^
