  • THOSE PITCH BENDS ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • I always did like a band with lots of percussions. Keep up the good work.

  • Can I ask you something? How did you make this keyboard? Did you have to drill a hole in the back? I'm asking because I want to do this same thing with my own keyboard and would rather not have to resort to drilling a hole in it.

  • Sorasen

    Hi,

All I did was find where the keyboard itself was attached to and /through the body..Generally about 8 screws are used for this.

Remove and replace two of those screws at either end with longer ones and add washers to keep strap attached..

    That was the easy part..

    Dr

  • What was the hard part?

  • Playing it while standing......

  • I converted a Hammond B3 into a keytar, of course I'm in a wheelchair now, Leslie rotor caught me right across the back of the neck. I'll be back playing though, just as soon as I get this puncture fixed.

  • Any chance of getting an actual keytar soon?

  • Check back in a while, I should have a very interesting one...

    Dr.

  • dude i give five star i would not of thought of that dude genius

  • I turned my Nord lead into a keytar... I love the unique factor. Why buy a keytar, when we can change any keyboard (that weighs less than 30 pounds) into a keytar!

    Good job BTW. nice solo

  • I als wanted to make that because a real keytar is very exspensive but how have make that strap on your keyboard

  • that isnt a keytar but a keyboard with a strap

  • That is awesome use of the sl 61! just wondering how you managed the usb/midi cabling?

  • Hi Jaan0,

Just a very tightly taped usb for both midi and bus power.

    Hope fully usb wireless soon..

    Dr

  • Sweet, I too have a 61-SL controller (but it's on a stand, not slung round my neck, lol)

  • Hey thanks calmb4thenorm!

Now If i could find one with a neck, ribbon and 63 keys...

  • Great job dude. I have a keytar and play in a band myself...lol and they are chick magnets :)

  • 'kin superb. Do you have any reliability problems ? Do you have a backup pc ?

  • Thanks!!!

Nope, no back-up rig so far, ( however if I was on the road more, I definately believe in at least 2 of everything)

So far things have been very smooth.. No crashes/ or other tech issues on stage..

Kinda unreal... considering i use a lot of different "3rd party" plugs..

    Cheers,

    Dr R

  • is that not just a standard keyboard strapped round the neck? if id thought of that i wouldnt have the roland keytar.. that white one

  • Keytar gets the chicks
