put it down cause i had to move out was sad to kill it sense it was so productive(roman) just to think that i was taking tomatoes every few days to work to give to friends at lunch time, every one was impressed with my hydroponic tomatoes. that was one of the best times of my hydroponic experience.it's been a year now , i wish i could grow like that again but now im stuck with roomates and i m money tight wish to all you good luck and keep up experimenting . took me 2 years to perfect feeding
man i went out and bought a 250w hps for mine because i heard alot of people say they have great results from theres but this is my first serious try at it any quick tips for a noob basicly also i heard since its indoors and theres no bees that a battery powered tooth brush helps the pollin get released or something like that how did you pollinate yours
I recommend using Mighty Crobes from sierra chemical company (. com). This stuff helps out your roots a ton. I use it for all my indoor crops and especially cuttings. Great inoculant and lasts up to a year.
These could produce soooooo much more if you kept the lights closer and bumped 24 watts up to 60ish, there 8 feet because they are stretching for the light, for the size of those plant's your yield is a joke.
I have a cherokee purple tomato plant thats about 10 inches now. What kind of range will a 2700K CFL of 60ish watts cover and how close does it need to be to the plant to make it most efficient.
instructions should be on the brick itself. basically just add about a gallon of water per brick. just add enough water to make it the right texture and feel like soil should feel you should add some worm caastings and maybe some perlite as well
I mean instead of using soil I use what's called coco coir which is basically the fibrous hairs on the outside of a coconut ground up. No soil of any kind is used here just coco coir and nutrients

@xxwaytoquickxx a q tip works perfect. Just rub the q tip on the flowers. that's it. I wouldn't waste my money.

Do those grow all year long or they have season like when they grow outside ?
Yanglike 2 years ago
All year long in a south facing window. You don't need lights like this kid is using.

Nice Video
I just put lights for the first time over my tomato seed tray, it had seedlings of about 1 inch.
The light was a 2x36Watt 860K tubes
It turned all my seedlings purple and they closed up??
Light too close perhaps?
It was 1 inch away and on for 16 hours.
Thanks for any advice.

Yeah, I tossed in some bonemeal and eventually transplanted them to outdoor containers.
They're doing fantastic.

hello when you say "no soil" do you mean grown only in water, or not grown in the ground?
