@veroyn90 you'll need special boots for telemarking, i.e. from scarpa (my brother is the telemarking-guy). I have some alpine racing boots from fischer, they are also great for freeriding. :)

For rock climbing I was using 720p x 30fps and I think it was enough for that activity.

How do you slow down the video? Is it a setting on the camera or a program you used to edit the video?

@quadcrazyy Record at 720p @ 60fps (which is twice as smooth as the normal 30fps) then slow down using Twixtor plugin in either Adobe Final Cut or Song Vegas to slow it down even further.

@quadcrazyy You set the GoPro to the highest frame rate possible, then once you import it into your computer, you use a program like Twixtor or After Effects to artificially slow down the video. Basically, the program creates the "missing" frames so your 120 fps video can be slowed down to 1000 fps.

@franguex dude.... come on... the cam records at 120 fps. That is 4x speed so he just made the vid 30 fps instead of 120. Or stretching it 4x.

thx! I used the r3-mode on the gopro (720p, 60fps) and the twixtor-plugin for final cut express to slow down the scenes even more (20% and still super smooth) - you should give twixtor a try, it's an amazing tool!

Simply fantastic pictures! I'm buying this camera myself, it looks amazing. One question, for the slow motion pictures presented, are all those with 60 fps ? What editprogram do you use to be able to work with 60, most seem to only cope with 30..?

@mortendokkedal thanks! I used final cut express with the twixtor plugin for the slow motion scenes. iMovie works too, but without twixtor, so you won't be able to slow the video down to less than 50%...

@mortendokkedal well, maybe you can slow down the video to about 40% in imovie before it gets choppy, but by using twixtor in FCE, you can get it much slower and create amazing effects. definitely worth a try!
