@wladelis ... I'm saying, they killed off a character in the DLC they shouldn't have, they figuratively shot themselves in the foot story wise, well, we can only assume he's dead, unless they pulled some miracle and made him survive that ..event that happened in the DLC.
*Spoiler alert!* Well I think they have more story options with Lexine an her son and also why where the goverment willing so much on killing her? I think they said she was part of an experiment. In extraction the unitologists had also interest on her (Eckhardt) because apparently she was immune to the Marker. I think they now have expanded more their possibilities to develope a more complex story and do more spin-offs. Very similar to what Capcom did with Resident Evil.
@Defe100 Yeah, but what's a pregnant woman going to do? And her son sure as heck isn't going to be doing anything anytime soon. . .
Indirectly though yeah I mean she's going to play a part in future storys though. I wasn't particuarly saying they killed that story option. Wasn't trying anyways.
To elaborate, on what I was getting at earlier. I just mean they had MORE story options. When they killed off their character, all I mean is they cut off a story option. That's it. He's gone.
@MRSketch09 Oh sorry that I misunderstood you =P . However I think that Visceral Games made the right decision on killing him because it could have become a cliché on always keeping the protagonists alive and I don´t think they wanted to fall on that.
And I wouldn't be surprised if they kill Isaac in the DS3 as I think they have overused him.
Anyways I just hope they keep making good games with good stories and that Dead Space becomes a classic in some years ^^.
