45 inch sturgeon ice fishing

How do sturgeon breath air under all that ice?!... Sturgeon live in areas that have hard water currents high oxygen and like to come out of on top of the water the for air. So this would mean without these type of enviroment they would die off.

@aznxbigazn you shouldn't wind any fish. you want to fight the fish with your rod not your reel. You pull up on the rod to bring the fish in and as you bring the tip down you reel in the the slack. Ontop of that he had a 20+ pound fish on 4 pound test! if you put more that 4 pounds of tention on the line its going to snap, so the fish had to tire itself out before he could reel it in. if the fish ran and he pulled the line would have snaped
