Thank you for sharing. Maggi is an angel. My son was born with an unblanaced chromosome between the numbers 9 and 7. Very rare and not a match out there. I feel your pain. I'm saying my prayers that Maggie and your beautiful family are doing well.
We all are children of God...... The fact, that we are here - on this World - it all has a significant reason... God bless You and especially your little princess Maggi
My nephew was diagnosed with Trisomy 9 Mosaic just yesterday, and my family is completely immersed in research at the moment. He's been in NICU for 6 weeks, but it took until yesterday to get the diagnosis. Are there any specific websites or organizations that you found to be most helpful in assisting you with understanding the disorder?
@CleverNamesSuck1 Look on Maggi's website (MaggiBlair (dot) com) under Links > Resources... there are some websites there that may be helpful... also, Maggi's website should give you guys some hope!! =) God Bless!
i am a father of 2 & 3 step kids. we have an addition in 3wks, our son who has trisomy 9 mosanic. I already am a proud father, he has already showen that he is a fighter & I hope he is throughout his life. God Bless you, your video is something special.
I have a brother who was born in 1998 with Trysomy 9 mosanic also, the doctors told my mother it would be best for her to abort him. She didn't and my brother is now 12, going to be 13 this year and he is living his life like any other normal kid. There were a few health problems at first and it still always shows that he has Trysomy 9, but he is a happy kid 12 years later. Keep hope and love your daughter every minute of the day. :)
She is indeed a fighter! I have 2 siblings with Trisomy 9 syndrome so I do know a lot of things about it. But a word of warning, the majority of the doctors dont really understand the syndrome itself. But your daughter is special and thank you for sharing her with us! God bless you all too>\.
@deaf06nerd Thank you for the inspiring words! You're right - the doctors don't know a lot... we've had doctors tell us that Maggi would "never do this... and never do that"... and every time she does something new, we call those doctors and say "Guess what!!" =) It's awesome to see her do things she was never expected to do!! =)
my partner & I are expecting our son in Late april 2011, he has trisomy 9 mosanic, doctors told us to abort or give up for adoption. We as parents have a duty to be a parent, no matter what happens, though I dont wish anyone to deal with this sort of thing but as a father of 2 normal children I am glad he is going to be part of our family. God bless u all
