wondering if there is a reason why his coach doesn't tell him to stop pulling his back foot out, kinda like he is loosing balance instead of just turning on it...great swing though looks good!
They both seem extremely past their age in ability but it is a tough balance as to know when to push a bit and when to back off. I want to make sure he continues to love the game and has fun doing it.
JT starts kindergarten in September. The earliest age group they have in Michigan is 8u, I'm thinking not next year but the year after for travel ball. We'll see how it goes with his development. He's always trying to do what his big brother does, which is a big help. We're big time Tiger fans here. Weather has been in the 90's last few days. Keep me informed as to what you are going to do with him, I'm trying to get some direction and your son seems to be in the same spot as JT.
I put up a video of JT pitching in our back yard. Weather has been awful here, raining like crazy, but the boys have been able to get a few games and tourneys in so far. How's the season going?
Home run derby! Love it, he looks great. Yes, we are finally getting outside. JT is playing with 5 and 6 year olds for the Spring and 7-8 year olds for the summer. He's having a blast. His older brother who is 9 is playing travel ball for the first time so we've basically become a taxi for games and practices.
I do have a question for you: ability wise these kids can easily play well above their age, but I am concerned about maturity level, is that an issue you have seen?
I can tell he was getting tired. very cool kid.
