  • Great tutorials mate! They are perfect because you allow just enough for me to figure out things as I go, but you don't get into too much detail yourself. Exactly what I needed for a mock-up of the site I want built!

  • These Fireworks tutorials are the best I've seen. I now totally understand how to make rollovers and drop down menus. Your explanations and pacing are excellent! Please keep adding more tutorials!

  • Excellent! Well, can you please show how I can add bookmark&share links (such as: tell a friend via fb, twitter, etc..) I haven't been able to figure it out via cs4 so far:(

  • Thanks for the the tutorial, I found it very useful. However I just wanted to ask if a search bar can be done using Firework CS4 also?

  • working with html and css is good but when I'm working with fireworks it's really very fantastic yeah..because you do something and right now you can watch the result ..thanks

  • thanks i'v learned a lot on your tutorial hope you'll make more video's for fireworks

  • Adam,

Thanks for the tutorial, I really liked what you did with the menu bar 4 and more importantly with showing how to export it out to Dreamweaver, Sadly there are a lot of good tutorials but everyone else forgets to show you how to implement the work into Dreamweaver.

    Eric

  • awesome vid!

  • Hey adam, thanks a lot for the lesson,it helped me a lot, i wanted to ask u how can we make an animation menu, like fading or rolling up , and can we use fireworks to do that or we need another program....ty ^^

  • Hey im new to the Adobe Cs5 but your vids have helped me alot!! Question, is there any way to edit the font of the pop up menu??? The ones they supply are quite generic looking..

  • Excellent video,as per your norm.

  • the whole 2 part lesson was put simply, WONDERFUL. ive been studying dreamweaver cs4 for a good year or so, and learning Fw like this will really make my sites HOT!!! Thanks a bunch!

  • HOLA SE VE MUY FACIL PERO SABES UNA COSA, CUANDO EXPORTO CSS e IMAGENES (.htm) ME SALE EL SIGUIENTE ERROR :

SOLAPAMIENTO ENTRE LAS CAPAS, O RECTANGLE PRIMITIVE SE SOLAPA CON OTRAS CAPAS, COMO EVITAR ESTE PROBLEMA GRACIAS

  • thank you very much adam.

  • Soo.the question is..Fireworks or Photoshop for website mockup?

  • @ flashbuilding( how come at 3:56 i dont have any styles in the style box thanks in advanced.)

  • I'm having problems with fireworks cs4. When I save my file as a .png, then close out of fireworks, I can't re-edit the file in fireworks. How do I open it to where I am able to re-edit it?

  • @AnimeDubsHQ

Save it as a Fireworks PNG file, that should work.

  • cheers

  • for what Dreamweaver is used for?

  • Is it me or in each tutorial video person always say "so, let's go ahead" ??

  • I've been watching your tutorials from Italy, great stuff!! tnx.

I was hoping to find something like it, but this goes well beyond my expectations.

Please keep feeding us such stuff. Thank you buddy.

  • Great videos i spent all my night watching this tutorials and man i´m i glad that you exist...

once again great jog and a already subscrive to you great channel. Greatings from Portugal and sorry for my poor english.

  • good stuff. i like the birds calling in the background.

  • Amazing amount of help. i was wasting time in Dreamweaver. One question though, if i add multiple pages with only small sections changing will a CSS sheet be created so that i doesn't load the whole page each time i jump from link to link? or is that a more complex coding procedure? Either way thanks for the tips!

  • It also works in CS3 I didn't know that . . . haha lol

  • I used your tips, all worked well on my computer, in dreamweaver etc... But when i put it on the web server the links don't work. any idea what i do wrong.

See: world wide web. kljmielen . be

    Thank you

  • In dreamweaver the link on all he pop up buttons is "javascript.;" is this normal ???

  • Web site is back offline ...

  • Nice, clear and helpful. Thanks

  • I wonder if the CS4 version has a bug? Initially I didn't have any issues when I made a drop down menu, but when I tried to do it again, it doesn't want to work. I didn't do anything different, so I don't know why it's not working now. Perhaps there is something that is preventing me from executing this?

  • Great, keep the good work!!!

  • Oh my god you are the best fireworks teacher ever. I learned all i know from your videos.

  • You can just click and drag the outlined drop down menu into any position you want, instead of guessing at the offset number.

    Good tuts tho

  • another helpful tut. ide really like to see more fireworks tutorials because it seems really versatile.

  • Your The Best!!!!

  • Your videos are extremely helpful, thanks.

  • I have been using Photoshop for site layout forever but lately some of my developer friends have been trying to get me to try out Fireworks. Thanks for the videos, you are making the decision easier for me.

    Cheers

  • hello... im a begginer... and i really enjoy your videos... they are very informational and honestly are some of the best on youtube... just want to thank you... and was wondering if you could make a tutorial where you actually make a whole site on fireworks and then transport it into dreamweaver... to be ready to go live... or do you not need dreamweaver at all? i would greatly appreciate it....

  • Fireworks rocks! Thanks bro!

  • how do i add the menu bar to a website, like import it as flash or how i import it into a created website

  • think you might be able to do it in dreamweaver, like import as like you do a banner, and then copy htlm codes of the bar into html of dreamweaver, or use the links icon, am new to do so am not 100% myself

  • Thanks Adam, couldn't have done my homework without you :)

I may get into web development thanks to your easy to understand tutorials :D

  • When naming the export file, is it necessary to name your file index.html or home.html if it is your main loading page? Do all web components need to be housed on one web layer or can it be seperate.

  • Hi Adam, This is a great tutorial. It shows the power and simplicity of Fireworks. Thanks.

  • Thank you Adam! Veru useful and easy to follow.

    Connie

  • Adam can we add a swf file under the pop up menu bar and work properly?

  • make a dynamic website with include templates

  • Useful again! You're like the John Peel of web tutorials.

  • excellent tutorial, thanks so much!! 5/5

  • 5 stars

  • The beginning is very funny. A compliment! You should do it every vid

    "Hello everybody."

  • It can be my little geeky coined statement... I should trademark it... lol

    Thanks PC Help!

  • more would be cool!

  • In the top menu go to:

    View >>> Tooltips

  • @flashbuilding You know the site from the first tutorial, The adam khourn site or what ever, How did you do that? I want my site to be able to load up somewhat like that and also have a awesome background like the one shown.. If you can, please reply to me or send me a PM or what ever. Thanks.

  • You can build a site this way but its really not recommended. reason being at very least its a pain to have to re-export and upload entire site for every little change.

I love Fireworks and I love Dreamweaver but lets not forget each tool has its purpose and they work well together :). This is really good however for building mockups with functionality.

Love the tutorials keep them comming!

  • I agree, I have never made a site in this way... it was a request from our site...

just covering my own butt... lol... I agree 100%
