On the straight from 1.53 onwards to 1.58 my friend ran me off the road at full speed! I nearly lost it and if i had the lamp post at 1.56 would have nailed me! It was a close call!!

we i went i managed to get air born on the advanced track. i prefer the advanced track cause you go faster, but the corners are cambered so you don't have to use the brakes. and some fulla stacked it and was bleeding from his elbow

i went here like 10 years ago and i remember it only having 2 tracks, and it was differnet than this. you would start off similar, but you raced down a steep straight bit, hit a decent jump, you raced down and then the track raised up quickly and to the right that pulled g's and another tight chicane you went straight through and you got air on it it was insane compared to this,and mean when it was a school trip and we were all 17 haha. it must have changed,maybe luges got damaged from jumps.

i just got back from a trip to new zealand and that had to be my favorite thing to do there. so if anyone else goes def do that.

I'm from scotland, and we have family that live in tuaranga(forgot how to spell it :S) well, every 3 - 4 years we fly to new zealand using 4 aeroplanes, usually singapore airlines(its beast) and we take one trip to rotorua in that holiday, I was taking my second trip down and some crazy 7 year old doesn't break, and goes go the edge of the hill at: 0:53 in this video.

but all in all, its fun as hell, probably worth flying over there just to go luge riding :D!!!

lol from my most recent experience of singapore airlines (6 years ago when i was 10) i agree, i loved singapore airlines, and the weird thing is, i did this luge aswell but unfortunately can barely remember it :P

awesome video! Brings back memories! I used to go on that whenever I visited family living up there.

The only problem with the luge is when you get tourists who STOP in the MIDDLE of the lane - even on the fast track (where you're not meant to stop EVER) to take photos - I nearly hit several people doing that. If you wanna stop take photos - use the scenic track and pull over to the designated stop areas!

I went on this thing back in 2004 and it was raining that day (but I'm from California so I don't have a choice which day to do this on!). It's a miracle people dont fly off the side of the hill on a routine basis, especially on this track near the top.
