Disgusting! Shamefully sided documentary, that presents Shining Path as a honourable group of revolutionaries. This blood-thirsty terrorist organization was responsible for the death of 38,000 people in Peru (mostly humble farmers who oppossed their ideas) which is 60% of the total casualties occurred in that decade.
@czeballosv all documentaries are one sided, they were just trying to balance things out, enough media was already producing material in favor of the state who was just as violent, the only difference being that they already had power, but anyways now is up to us to make the conclusions of the shinning path, what it did and what that means for the people of peru and us...and just for the record im pretty sure i would have been declared an enemy by the shinning path too.

I dont know, but Guzman was captured on 12.September 1992 (writes Wiki).
But I think you are right - the air date was before his arrest.
