It's probably too late to say this, but I would suggest getting a few gigabytes of RAM to fix the "running out of memory" problem. It was happening to me so I just bumped up to 4 gigs and it runs great!

@sirdavva If you are having the running out of memory problem, I had that because I was using a 256x texture pack and 32bit java when i had 64bit Win 7. If you get the 64bit java (assuming that you have a 64bit OS, which by the amount of RAM u have, I'd assume you do), that should fix it. I realize this is an old video (wasn't really following your lets play series before, so I don't know if you've already fixed it or not. If not, I hope this helps!

Some nice videos you have made. One suggestion, it is more efficient to burn saplings, planks or sticks for cooking food in the game and also when smelting different materials smelting multiples of 8 is best. Keep up the cool videos. =D

You realise that by having an empty room with no lighting right behind your bed ther will eventually spawn mobs in there and then you won't be able sleep in the bed because mobs are to close to you while you sleep.

Then you could download Adobe After Effects when the test time is over.

And then you can try to find another one.

@TheMcDucky Haha the reinstall OS sounds like way too much work ^^ though I have heard good things about sony vegas. I have put up a paypal account that I have forgotten to promote. All the cash that I get from donations will go towards things that will improve the videos I make. @sirdavva Vegas Pro is pretty expensive. Some of the newer versions of Sony Movie Studio (basically same thing as Pro but fewer effects and fewer channels to add things and I think fewer compression methods) are pretty good. I think Vegas Movie Studio 10 Platinum is $60-65. Compared to over $500 for Vegas Pro.

Also I think you can download the trial for many different versions (Pro 9, Pro 10, Vegas Movie Studio 9, 10, 11, etc). I used to use 10 Plat but am looking to get 11.

@sirdavva That's why I'd stick to the nonpro versions. I used Sony Vegas Pro (I think version 5... way back when I played Dark Age of Camelot in 2002/2003) and later switched to Sony Vegas Studio 7. I upgraded to Platinum 9 or 10 when SC2 came out because I wanted to upload 1080p games but never really got into it. I really didn't notice much missing from the pro version. You have fewer audio and visual tracks you can use. But I never used more 2 audio, 2 video, 1 text, and 1 effects anyway.

in my new world my bed is up against a single wall and on other side it is unlit, but well lit around bed. i never get attacked by mobs whilst sleeping.

If you place a bed away from any walls (or against reeeaally thick walls) you should be safe from mob attacks ;)

To change the wolf skin in a texturepack. Extract the texturepack and find the mob folder. In there there are files called wolf, wolf_angry, and wolf_tame. Just replace these files with the wolf skin you want from another texturepack and send the folder to a zipped folder. Hope this helps :)

Rolf if you really want to keep it legitimate or unmodded you could just rename your current bin folder in your .minecraft "bin TMI" or anything else really and make a new bin, then just change the name of whichever bin you want to use as "bin" so that you can play a "vanilla" minecraft without uninstalling your mods.

Rolf I have a tip for you ;)

Dont use coal to make a fried pork or 2 glass blocks ;) Coal can burn up to 8 blocks so especially in new world using coal for 1 - 2 blocks is just wasting of it ;)

Next think, mobs spawn while u`re sleeping only if there is any possibility for them to came in or spawn (too less light for egz.) :)

@sirdavva To get a different texture for your wolf, you just have to pick one you like, and put it in the mob folder of your texture pack. Just remember that there's separate files for wild wolves (wolf.png), hostile wolves (wolf_angry.png), and tamed wolves (wolf_tame.png).
