If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.
I have a flat iron with sharp edges and I have succeded in curling my hair with it several times, and it looked really good :) even better than with my actual curling iron
my hair is naturally like the one you did at 7:59 but i dont like it. i used to have straight hair but i dont know what happened. is it the way i have changed my hair style or the way i wash my hair now? i try to straighten it but i have to go over it several times. My mum says that i have a $100 flat iron. do you have any tips to help me? My curling iron is a vs sasson glide
My flat iron is from Sephora and it has infrared or something that supposedly protects hair and locks in moisture. It flattens really well and curls and all the rest. I always use heat defense be4 using hot tools but those infrared things don't do anything. Split ends still happen. Temperature is 210 Celsius max.
I live in Denmark, so I don't have a large selection possibilities in the shops, plus I'm underaged and my parents aren't really that happy about me starting to use make-up and so on, so I can't order one online.
Anyway, so I want a flat iron, but he only store where I know they sell some, they only sell ones from some brand called Remington.
So I just wanted to know, if you are familiar with that brand and know if they have good ones, cause I'm a total newbee.
Help! I have medium blonde hair that I love but it doesn't curl. My hair is very wavy. I have a conair flat iron and a CVS brand curler (which is horrible). My hair straightens very well in the front where it is straighter, but it doesn't work at all. Any tips? Also, my hair Never holds curls, which is sad for me because I like them. Is there anything I can do to change either of those problems? I'm not sure how wide my iron is....
the hot tools curling iron has an adjustable temperature or at least the ones I have do. I have x2 of them one for tight curls and one for some loser curls :) their really good
hey.. I see how you put a serum on ur hair before you flat ironed it. Its acually horrible to apply an oil based product to your hair BEFORE. it has to be a dry product, like a spray. then you can apply the oil based for that shine AFTER WHEN YOU KNOW YOU ARENT GOING TO ADD HEAT. Oil adds to the heat. i damaged my whole bottom shaft because of that - a professional told me to use a dry product. CHI carries dry and oil based for a reason
Love the video! I noticed that you didn't really cover how to flat-iron your bangs/fringe? I'm trying to figure out how to do that to create a wave - like a curve-sweep on a side part. My bangs end at my eyebrows so yea. I've been trying to look for a tutorial on how to do that but I haven't found one. If possible, could you make one? Thank you! <3
just so everyone knows.. anything over 450 is burning your hair. no joke. nEVer put your flat iron up to 450.. i recommend not going over 400. & also the oil will offer a form of heat protection.. bets if used on damp hair though.
Your videos are so helpful! I was fine with having a flat iron that I had to run through the same chunk of hair over and over again, but now I can totally see why that isn't so great.
i always feel like putting a protection syrup in my hair will make it look greasy has that ever happened to you? whats the best product to use to make sure it doesnt give a greasy look
you should NEVER straighten your hair when it's wet because that could damage your hair completely. even though there is a straightener that is called wet-to-straight it's def not good to do that.
I cannot thank you enough for this video. It was so helpful to both myself and my teen daughters. You explain things so well and I think it is extremely nice of you to do these videos.
I would love to see more video tutorials on the different things you can do with a straight iron...spending more time and directions on each one. You showed so many quickly on this video which I know was the idea....but we would love to learn more.
is this fahrenheit celsius? i have a babyliss pro ceramic, that goes up to 205 celsius, and i find that too hot.. it get things flat faster but makes more frizzys/ fly aways... my hair is almost all one length so i like to have it all dead stright hair...
Also your hair is gross because you keep dying it instead of keeping your hair natural. You have very thin oily looking unhealthy hair. So calling your hair nappy for putting your hair in a bun is stupid.

Hate? Who said hate? Learn to read before you ask such a stupid question. Fact is, calling wavy hair nappy and gross. Nothing is wrong with having nappy hair. Nappy and Gross, Wow Pursebuzz I always viewed you as professional. I hope you misspoke but in the event you didn't then you Pursebuzz is pathetic. Having tosseled wavy hair is gorgeous, and NAPPY and GROSS do NOT belong in the same sentence. Let's call it out for what it is, every time you dye your hair blonde and talk in this time of voice I keep thinking wow she really thinks she is Caucasian, Sorry you're not, you're asian. :)

I've been watching your videos for a long time and I've gotten lots of tips as well as hairstyle ideas from you, I remember when your hair used to look really healthy. i straighten my hair once a month and put heat protector on plus i ise deep conditiong twice a week and i still get dead ends fast.even if my dead ends are cut off they come back fast and i dont comb it wen its wet so wth is wrong wit my hair?i've never died it eitherc and i dont blow dry
i straighten my hair about half the days of the week. i don't have spit ends and i dont even use any heat protector. i barely ever even put conditioner in there. so idk. i guess it just depends on how healthy your hair actually is. straightening probly does contribute to the split ends tho.
I thought that. I didnt use heat protectant for a couple months. Now I have so much split ends and breakage in the back of my hair. Please protect your hair.
i love your videos so much, aside from the amazing tutorials, you remind me so much of my best friend! i miss her so much and you two are so much alike! :D LOVE YOU!
I love it to death its amazing and does alot for me . and i use it to do my hair for waves, curls, or just plain jane striaght hair I'd use a Flat Iron over anything other heating tool.
I have a FHI, that my aunt gave me. It's very good, but very expensive as you can see, but lots of ppl go crazy for those Andis flat irons. Cheap! $20 and you can get it at walmart.
I'm a hair stylist, and I just want to let you know that, even though I went to school for this stuff, I still learn sooooooo much from your videos. Great Job!
I'll tell ya, two years ago I had a 140 dollar flat iron, it broke within 6 months. since it broke the day i had to go to a party, i went out to bed, bath, and beyond and bought a 30 dollar remington wet2Straight, and it has lasted me ever since. i use it EVERY day. good video though. :)
Agreed. I bought a chi 2 months ago.. and i didnt know it wouldnt shut off i thought i had hit the switch, and i stayed on all day and yeahh.. it doesnt work as good now.
ooo i have the FHI one as well! i got it as a christmas present a couple of years ago. i really like it. it never broke on me yet and im such a klutz! (ive dropped it like 3x already... oops!)
i enjoyed this video alot. keep up the great work Elessa!! we really appreciate it <3333
i used to have one that i was really happy with it was one with holes in it so u could flatten ur hair after your towel dryed it it made a world of difference it worked even better with a silkening serum or antifrizz serum
I think you did a fantastic job on this vid Elessa and you should know that at least one of your subs took something from this and thats me..this was extremely helpful and i enjoyed watching you..as always!!!! thanks again
Yea people get tired of videos about products from beauty choice. It's like why cant you do a video with products from stores(not online) that people can go out and get instead of online. I mean, i know you explained how to flat iron and what not that was great but it's like seriously beauty choice...once again? :/ Since you mentioned this, i SUGGEST not doing videos of products from beauty choice, but that's just me. You understand?
Does MAC give out products just like that? Yea, I didn't think so. & because there is people out there(like me) who dont want to spend $15 for ONE eyeshadow when you can get a ton more for $15 at a drugstore or elsewhere, where it's cheap & of good quality. You know, i'm not trying to be "rude" or "disrespect" towards you in any way. This is ust what I think.
Then just watch someone elses videos- no need to be rude to someone who offers tons of great advice to people for free! You can get ideas for make up and hair from her videos and buy shadows and products that a similar. No need to hate on pursebuzz
Yea obviously she does give good advice, I already said that. BUT seriously it seems like every guru is doing videos of just beauty choice. I enjoy watching her other non-beautychoice videos. !
Last time I went to Sephora the wonderful make-up artist gave me a ton of free samples to decide if I wanted to actually buy some of the products.
If your going to hate on all people who have Sigma or Coastal Scents or Beauty Choice products given to them to review (or give away in contests), I'm afraid you won't be left with many make-up youtubers left to watch.
I NEVER mentioned anything about sigma, coastal scents, etc. EXCEPT Beauty Choice. LIKE I SAID, i enjoy watching her OTHER videos that DON'T have to be about Beauty choice. & there are other great makeup gurus that I watch. this is entirely MY opinion/thoughts wether you like it or not.
I'm just saying that a lot of gurus get products from various sites and companies. What's the difference between sigma giving every guru with more than 1000 subscribers a brush roll and pursebuzz using flatirons used from the Beauty Choice websie?
Take a deep breath and make yourself a cup of tea or something. Getting angry at somebody over the internet is a huge waste of frustration and energy.
my friend had one of those and her hair looked like a frizzy mess every time she used it, go for vidal sassoon which are cheap but good or ghd which is more expensive but also very good
i had the FHI heat flat iron.. and after like not even a yr it went bad. the one plate stopped gettting hot! ): soo i got the paul mitchel one. it works wonders!!! :)
not like those really really reallly short compact curls, more wavy, but still curly and very very thick .
do you have any suggestions for when i need a quick fix for school other than a messy bun, ponty tails or braids? straightning my hair after it is thinned takes about an hour .. PLEASE HELP ! :)

I have a FHI, that my aunt gave me. It's very good, but very expensive as you can see, but lots of ppl go crazy for those Andis flat irons. Cheap! $20 and you can get it at walmart.

& once again another beautychoice video........ greattt :/
babyfresa04 2 years ago
I don't understand the issue?
1) I gave out tips on how to use a flat iron in different ways
2) Flat irons are sold everywhere you aren't forced into buying an exclusive product only from beauty choice
3) If I don't say where I get the products from I get 340384308 questions about it. Why not save time and just say where the iron came from?
4) My last 4-5 videos have been about all kinds of other things.
5) Constructive criticism is most appreciated when it is followed up with suggestions.

I think you did a fantastic job on this vid Elessa and you should know that at least one of your subs took something from this and thats me..this was extremely helpful and i enjoyed watching you..as always!!!! thanks again

Thanks Diana :) I am so happy to hear that <3
pursebuzz 2 years ago
Yea people get tired of videos about products from beauty choice. It's like why cant you do a video with products from stores(not online) that people can go out and get instead of online. I mean, i know you explained how to flat iron and what not that was great but it's like seriously beauty choice...once again? :/ Since you mentioned this, i SUGGEST not doing videos of products from beauty choice, but that's just me. You understand?
babyfresa04 2 years ago
You can get a Chi, FHI and others from other stores. How come no one says this about MAC? Just a thought?
pursebuzz 2 years ago
Does MAC give out products just like that? Yea, I didn't think so. & because there is people out there(like me) who dont want to spend $15 for ONE eyeshadow when you can get a ton more for $15 at a drugstore or elsewhere, where it's cheap & of good quality. You know, i'm not trying to be "rude" or "disrespect" towards you in any way. This is ust what I think.
babyfresa04 2 years ago
Then just watch someone elses videos- no need to be rude to someone who offers tons of great advice to people for free! You can get ideas for make up and hair from her videos and buy shadows and products that a similar. No need to hate on pursebuzz
kimmi686 2 years ago 6
Yea obviously she does give good advice, I already said that. BUT seriously it seems like every guru is doing videos of just beauty choice. I enjoy watching her other non-beautychoice videos. !
babyfresa04 2 years ago
Last time I went to Sephora the wonderful make-up artist gave me a ton of free samples to decide if I wanted to actually buy some of the products.
If your going to hate on all people who have Sigma or Coastal Scents or Beauty Choice products given to them to review (or give away in contests), I'm afraid you won't be left with many make-up youtubers left to watch.
tinkerpanda 2 years ago
I NEVER mentioned anything about sigma, coastal scents, etc. EXCEPT Beauty Choice. LIKE I SAID, i enjoy watching her OTHER videos that DON'T have to be about Beauty choice. & there are other great makeup gurus that I watch. this is entirely MY opinion/thoughts wether you like it or not.

Whoa, dude.
No need to go all capslock angry.

I thought the tip about the romantic wave where you curl it into a ringlet and then press it was so useful though.
And I would have missed out on it if she hadn't made this video.
