Actually you can't serve more than 3 years in the Blue Angels, 2 if you're a pilot which meant that he came from a fleet was going to serve his tour in the Angels and return to the fleet. So no matter how you look at it he was an American Airman that answered his nation's plea for the best aviators in the world.

This is definitely where the budget ax needs to fall. We no longer need this expensive advertisement in order to recruit new pilots. With a budget of over $40 million dollars, it has to be slashed in order to provide adequate health care to millions. The same goes for the Thunderturds and sponsorship of NASCAR teams.

You can look this up if you do not believe me. When number 6 was rushing to join back up with the rest of his team, he pulled it, to hard at the speed he was going. He almost tried to spin that jet on a dime, As a result, he blacked out. Find another video on you tube and you will see what he did.

There was no mechanical failure according to the mishap investigation. It crashed into a neighborhood about 2 miles west of the Air Station off of Laurel Bay Blvd. Nobody was hurt except LCDR Davis, although severe damage was done to a couple of houses. Fortunately no one was home.

Why in the world does this take place over the homes of local residents. With the recent crash of a small plane in a residential neighborhood, you would think they would know better. Why don't they practice over the air field where the show is being held. I live near the area where Blue Angels have shows and they fly so close over my house it makes my windows rattle. I have no interest in their air shows and don't want to be forced to listen to the noise they create while in my own home.

Aviation Science more than likely has given you the opportunity to fly commercial jets to visit friends and family. It is really sad that this pilot passed. The only thing that was on his mind was worrying if he did anything wrong in the air show or if his part was good enough. Rest in piece, my prayers are for you. :(

It is always a sad occasion when a pilot is lost, especially at an airshow. The Angels are a fantastic team and the loss of a team member is a truly tragic event.

Why in the world does this take place over the homes of local residents. With the recent crash of a small plane in a residential neighborhood, you would think they would know better. Why don't they practice over the air field where the show is being held. I live near the area where Blue Angels have shows and they fly so close over my house it makes my windows rattle. I have no interest in their air shows and don't want to be forced to listen to the noise they create while in my own home.

@pradance1 I can understand why the noise may bother you and the potencial for an airplane to crash into your home, but the odds are very low. I'm sure you can tolerate one (1) air show per year? Aviation Science more than likely has given you the opportunity to fly commercial jets to visit friends and family. Air shows promote young people to study various subjects and to possibly serve their country.

It is always a sad occasion when a pilot is lost, especially at an airshow. The Angels are a fantastic team and the loss of a team member is a truly tragic event.
