i would not even call it garbage, modern chart music isn't even that great., hence why i like to listen to Classic FM, BBC radio 3 and 4.

Music went down hill at the end of the 1990s when everyone started to sample, jazz up (down) and copy every one else.

this style of music, (along with Jarre, Oldfield should get MORE air play

It's got a nice melody, but it's a touch too repetitive for my taste and it's mixed rather oddly. To me, the lead is just too loud relative to the backing. Because of that, it fails to weave the kind of mood it's going for. At least for me. I guess it worked for other people.
