dude, you sir are an idiot, or you just are one of those guys who thinks they know how to play but can't even read notes. there are two main ways of playing with your fingers: dolce, which is by the neck, and ponticelo, by the bridge pickup. people will use both technqiues for different timbres. guys like Y.tim K play panticelo while guys like entwistle will play dolce.
Been playing for 28 years, in bands, with pic's and fingers, there is no "Right" way to play. You create your own unique way to play.... I can read, write, and spell.
