He wasn't an alcoholic. He was a heroin addict who caught hepatitus C. There are hundreds of thousands of people with this disease and many of them will die of liver cancer. It is like AIDS in that some people will see some moral justification for those who catch these diseases. We will lose some of the most talented people to this. We have already lost Lobby Lloyd and Ian Rilen. What a waste.
I love Rowland. The sound of his guitar, his deadpan voice, his approach to life, the fact that he didn't die in his 20's and in order became an immortal soul like all the other's . Because I know that if he would have died earlier, people would have known him better, and no doubt that he could of become a guitar legend. But oh well… people are stupid. And so am I.. But I still think he is a legend and a great person, and I'm just learning to adore him. bye Rowland
Roland died of cancer - he beat the hep c and the heroin. Just when all was going the best he'd had in ages the big C took him out. Rock on Roland.
