Every time I would go to the PD they'd all be sitting around at the desks LITERALLY eating donuts, drinking coffee and watching basketball. When I was older I was harassed several times by Cincinnati Police. Once I was even handcuffed when the officer knew I hadn't committed a crime. I speak out of personal experience.

@nita409 No, it's more making observations than stereotyping. I had a job when I was younger that required me to work with police and I observed them quite frequently. Every time I would go to the PD they'd all be sitting around at the desks LITERALLY eating donuts, drinking coffee and watching basketball. When I was older I was harassed several times by Cincinnati Police. Once I was even handcuffed when the officer knew I hadn't committed a crime. I speak out of personal experience.

Fights? When the cops make it worse, I step in after they've (cops) yelled at me for being there and tell them the cops are right. That usually ends it as they see I'm not a cop lover so why would I say that.

I was on the corner watching from a safe distance a kid hit by a car.
I don't know why (maybe a police union card or shield shown) but they straightened the kids wheel ans sent him on his way without taking any info.
They came down to where I was and snottily asked me "Watching?"

The NYPD never gives the FDNY any credit. I remember the armed robbery of the parking garage on 60th St.
One of the vics climbed out on the sign attached to the side of the building.
ESU put on gear and rappelled down the side of the building with the guy rather than use the obvious and safer tower ladder because they didn't want to let FDNY get the glory. Took hours rather than 5 mins.
And so the stupidity went on and on for 20 years.

I worked the Englewood neighborhood in Chicago for 6 years and many people there hated us. But that section of the city recieved probably more calls for police assistance than any other neighborhood.
