Adam, thanks for stopping by. This was a fun song to record, learned a lot mixing, technically it's not the hardest but Def Leppard has some great mixes, so coming up with idea's that would sound cool and give off similar vibes than the original was a fun learning experience.

I used a Midi Drum track, then ran it in to a Vst plugin like Superior drummer or Slate to get the tones. You can find the backing track with bass and drums on the net for free.

Yeah, Slate drums or Superior both are high quality, can take a pretty lame Midi Drum sample and turn it in to something that sounds pretty convincing. Glad to see you noticed the small details.
