Usually when someone plays this fast you would never be able to tell if they make a mistake but her strokes are so clean you can tell that each is completely intentional. Love it.

I've heard some others play her piece. Just not as good. What they're missing are some of the key dynamic accent points. She really gives this piece character. I actually enjoy imagining Tom and Jerry chasing each other around when I listen to it. She should make up some more interesting pieces like this. It's a total gas.

Well, I wouldn't blame them for it; it's damn near impossible to match Hiromi in speed and accuracy. Even a lot of the greats couldn't match her physical ability (note: physical) with 20 more years of practice than her. She was manufactured to be smaller, faster, and more efficient than the leading musicians. She's the reason GM went under.

I checked out some more on a Berklee site (where she has won awards) and found she had been listening to Oscar Peterson when she was young. It says she had been sending demo tapes to him and he invited her over. "I'll fly out tomorrow", she said.

Whether she tooks some training from him...I don't know...but, she is one eclectic and superbly talented keyboardist and composer.
