Malta should be protected against the invasion of illegal aliens! There isn't enough island to hold the maltese let alone illegal immigrants coming in and over populating a tiny island!!!!

most of them came from war and maybe escaped justice..who knows...without mentioning the diseases threath that they carry. they are also rebellious greedy and do not appreciate the free food and housing we give them instead of giving to our own people. we wait in line in hospital and they get preferential treatment and are served immiediately for free..a few work illegally but others are finding it nice receiving free money from the goverment.

Each race has good and bad people, sadly you cannot choose who to take, i feel sorry for the children but eventually they will grow up to be vagabonds and thieves if allowed to do so and yes disease is another worry. Whilst we like to think of each race as civilised, sadly the Africans are not they still rule by rape, Aids and the Machete, you can see why people want to escape, stand up and fight in your own Country - take out their dictators and rulers and let the Maltese people live in peace.

when i saw maltese families adopting african kids I really didnt mind and I remember seeing an african kid with that childish happy smile with his maltese grandma really moved me once...but these people chose to do so and the numbers are limited...I wouldnt mind that..but to receive everyone coming from africa on this tiny island is really a farce.

now its more difficult coz we're being imposed to accomodate them by the EU...and unfortunately maltese people are a bit subservient to strong foreigners by nature ..it will take a maltese guy long to realize he's being duped sort of. just like the hunters were taken for a ride by the maltese goverment and Eu.they banned spring hunting while in other countries they can hunt.

For a year EU has been promising a burden sharing scheme ...which is voluntary though..no other EU country wants to share the burden and they took only a handful till now. All EU is doing is using FRONTEX to save more of them to bring over. And when we complain we are also called racists and arrested if we rally or demostrate.. yet 98% of maltese dont want them here being since Malta is already too small (inhabitants + tourists). If they came on a plane like everyone else it's ok for us

I don't think the Maltese liked the British invasion during the 2nd World War but at least we had the Islands interests at heart and gave you back your freedom.

maybe the only grudge we hold against brits is that we were dragged in the war and that bloodshed had to be drawn before our independence was achieved in sette gungio...but we love the british ...they treated us with respect apart from these incidents and did manage to make the country more sustainable and we learned a lot from the british system adopted laws and such...so being dominated by the british empire is one of the few that I dont mind personally.

I have visited Malta over 15 times. In 2004,we got into a discussion with a young attendant on Mellieha, we spoke about the EU.I told him that I hoped it didn't change the island. The traditional buses are changing,the Maltese currency gone and now a very real problem of immigration - doors opened and things have definitely changed. I watch the webcam at Valletta harbour and see the cruisers come and go in the harbour - this is how the Island should be - people come and visit and then depart.

I am not a German Citizen. Im Maltese Citizen. My forefather had build ed that. Of course the Germans destroyed some of it. some members of my family were killed and injured by the Luftwaffe Bombing on Malta. Why shall i be anti German? The German was at War with Britain not with Malta unfortunately, They bombed Malta because it was serving as base and Colony of the British Empire. Britain and Germany should be friends as every European State shall be in a Greater Europa.

I believe you need to find more support from your closest friends in Europe, the British. There are many who are proud of our past history with Malta and many more who know nothing of Malta`s problems with illegal immigrants. As a commonwealth country you must put pressure on politicians in the UK and seek out sympathetic allies.
