  • Your beige and white rattie looks almost exactly like my boy, Scorpio, except mine is a dumbo :)

  • normaly rats hate water..they should decide on their own if they want to get in.. please don´t put them in water :( there must be a way to get in in out...and they can get sick very fast :(

  • Rats hate water... they just want to go out of the bath

  • well.... my rats sorta likes it, when they are dirty, then i fill the sink up with a little water(mom don't want them in the thub) and let them clean there self! =)

  • i had 2 rats itchy and scratchy but since i gave itchy to a kid that killed him im not so happy but i know that scratchy is in good hands with an old lady

  • Haha, my rats have always hated baths! Yours seemed to enjoy it though. :) I'm getting two girls today and I'm hoping they like the water!

  • i have have 3 rats since 1 week and i hope they will swim.....

  • they are sooo similar to my rat alec

  • These look like my girls =)

    Nice video their adorable.. x

  • Tierquälerei.

  • My boys ALWAYS drop a plethora of "rat raisins" in the tub whilst getting baths LOL I guess they either get excited at the prospect of a bath, or they get so relaxed in the warm water they just let it fly so to speak...anyhow, it is an excellent laxative for rats!

I am happy to see that you don't put too much water in the tub too...many rat parents mistakenly add so much water that the rats feet will not touch bottom and this can stress them out.

Looks like your guys are enjoying bathtime :)

  • They're adorable!

  • I recently adopted two rats and since getting them they have never bit me or my son, they are very gentle and friendly. I know they need a bath though and I'm just wondering if there is a chance they will get scared and bite me? this is why I have not done it yet. Do most rats like the water or do they freak out?

  • Rats actually are very clean creatures, and will keep themselves fairly clean. Usually the only need to bathe them is when they're injured or as they get older. If you feel like you absolutely have to bathe them, a warm damp -not wet- cloth works fine. This was more like a bath "playtime". They like to wade, especially when its hot outside. Just also keep in mind that rats are more sensitive to hot and cold, so what seems like comfortably hot water to you could scald them.

  • Well, their tails can get grubby

  • Some rats hate water, some like it. I don't really bath my boys (I don't think it's necessary, they clean themselves all the time and they smell nice :) ), but I let them play in the water, they LOVE it. I put a little luke warm water in the shower tub, which is perfect because they can get in and out whenever they like and they're not trapped inside. Another good thing is to put a little food (like small vegetable pieces) in the water. If I wanna clean em, I simply use a damp towel.

  • My rats take poops when I give them baths too. Sometimes I hate cleaning their poopies up but they can't help but always poop whenever in the water.

  • one of them took a dump in ur tub XP lol cute tho!!

  • hw manky r u u silly cow

  • your rats are cute.

  • my rats love to take a bath..

  • my rat hates the water! how did you get them in there?

  • me too. they freak out and climb back up my arm.......and leave little presents ALL over the sink,,,,

  • yeah i know. and my grandma won't let me get my rat's nails cut so then people start to think i'm emo...

  • I have to clean up my white rats fur in the sink with a little warm water after they play all day (Not every day though) just about every month.

  • They're not as scared as mine used to be... but i don't think they're having fun either.

  • aaaww,,your ratsd looked EXACTLY like my two rats i had not long ago.

they were both brothers, the same colours as yours, and i called them caramel and shadow..

they died about a year ago, they were so cute, and they loved baths like this, and the also loves when i turned the shower on [i did that to full up the bath for them] they used to crawl under it,

    they loved it^^

    so cute

  • it looks to me, that your rats just want to get out and looking for a way out...

  • They will be lookin for a way out ... they are young and will learn that they can get out ... but for now these are very cute and water does them no harm ... only good

  • Ilike how your rat plays with the poof thing, mine plays with her rubber duckys.she pushes them around the tub.

  • I wish my baby would do this, but for some reason she is petrified of water. You touch her with damp hands and she panics. :(

  • Your ratties look exactly like my sweetie Ratlige that went to sleep about a month ago. As I watch this video, it brings tears to my eyes, but a smile on my face, remembering all the happy times with her!

  • *hugs*

  • Very cute!
