  • See now if I were a band I totally would have paid them off to let me film a music video in front of that

  • i could of sold that in the G.E For 800m!!!

  • NOOOO you could have made like 900 iron pickaxes in Minecraft with that! D:

  • perfect for talibans hahaha!

  • As a courtesy to you, I wanted to let you know I’ve included this video on our YouTube Channel: Mining Oil and Gas Jobs.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. We’re always looking for good content and thought this video was a good addition.

  • Minecraft much bitch?

  • @Generalarceus32 This video is 4 years ago.

    Bitch?

  • I might have missed something there but what mine was that? Also a 1,000,000 ton blast in one go is one helluva blast.

  • That was awesome!

1 Million tons! Damn that's a lot of ANFO. I've detonated about 150 K tons of iron ore, the best part is the surprise when after you see it go up, and you wait to hear it, you feel your eyeballs vibrating and THEN you hear it! The shock travels through the ground way faster than sound

  • @cowofthemonth Hah! That's pretty cool.

  • i love the smell of of iron dust shredding my lungs in the morning

  • holy shit, listen to this with speakers turned all the way up.

  • Can you imagine if they did the same kind of demolition to Yosemite's El Capitan and Half Dome? Just imagine all the gold we would find!

  • How much would it cost if they ordered an airstrike or arty shelling instead?

  • @newcomer9747 Dude..we need to mine the stuff, not vapourize it..lol.

  • @newcomer9747 wouldn't be as effective. Bombs destroy the surface but they don't penetrate far enough to be worth while. They also cost a whole lot more than TNT. You can get a pound of TNT for about $400 if you have a license and you know who to talk to. Each war head in bombs or missiles cost between $1 million and $200 million depending on which warhead it is.

  • @MarcusCardiff Or to take care of the people i don't like ^^

  • "According to this logic, we should not be able to critique any of our economic, etc. systems"

Nah, what he's saying is, don't sit around complaining about it when you rely on it to do the complaining in the first place. If it wasn't for people doing this kind of work, you'd be out collecting water and keeping the fire stoked all day, too busy to use the mac you don't have.

Activists like to criticise the corporations, when it's the public who generate the waste that goes to landfill.

  • 0:16 IVE BEEN MOVED!

  • MINECRAFT EXTREME

  • That...was...BEAUTIFUL :,D

  • its should've been

Ground:F662 requesting air strike.. Lazing target

Air: rodger we have the target

Ground: Airstrike coming in 3..2..1.. BOOOM!

  • LOOKED like a pussy blast to me , watch any Australian shot FAR BIGGER

  • @kiwicockers Who gives a shit

  • @octanemonster And we won't ever have a system that doesn't consume so badly if nobody does anything, and nobody will do anything if nobody says anything, so do you see...? Your logic is, well, illogical, to say the least.

  • @octanemonster According to this logic, we should not be able to critique any of our economic, etc. systems. But that's a great way for troubles to brew and brew until, well, bad things start happening.

  • I was linked to this from a Team Fortress 2 clip and wondered why until I got to the end. More rubble less trouble I suppose!

  • @octanemonster

But the rate of consumption is unnecessary. Just because most environmental activists are dumb doesn't mean that there isn't a huge problem with the way our economy and industry works.

  • Comment removed

  • @grezgorztube That's right. We shouldn't have to guzzle so much all the time. Look how we go through expensive, resource-intensive items like there's no tomorrow. Gadgets that are designed to fail soon, etc. etc. F**K planned obsolescence.

  • So how much TNT is normally used up for one of those?

  • @BishopGantry ANFO dummy.

  • 1 million tons just became rubble or dust :/

  • this is an example of expert fishermen :D

  • that explosion was big

  • Hell yeah, that was a very nice explosion lol

  • @marcuscardiff lmao :P

  • guess this is plannet rape

  • I think they would practically get ride of your garden and the whole district as well :)

  • pretty sweet

  • Perhaps they should, there are iron ore deposits in Iraq....well....thats a f-ing good idea LOL

  • lol at u

  • fuck yeah .. that blast had nice shape..

  • I didn't know you could be cruel to non-living entities. Is having a wood burning stove cruality against trees?

I am pretty sure that was sarcasm though, so I loled when I read it.

  • they should use that shit in iraq

  • Perhaps they should, there are iron ore deposits in Iraq.

  • It would take too long to set up.

  • Too long for what?

You can't get the ore if you don't mine it. If you want to mine ore, you'll take the time to set up the charges.

  • To set up in Iraq, to take out terrorists. He was replying to someone else.

  • There is already a glut in the Terrorism market. It's just not profitable to mine more Terrorists.

Much better to mine Iron Ore, in Iraq.

  • ...

    :/

  • Woooow!

  • kabloiiee

  • shut the hell up, do you understand the importance of mining

  • It's great to live on the Iron Range! ;)

  • lol BOOM!!

  • KA-BOOM

  • hey , help me i need that iron clip , how do i get it help please

  • try website DVDvideosoft for a nice screen capture that I use called CamStudio.

  • Very nice!! It's better than our blast in France with 10 tons explosives! ^^

I just want to now how much explosives you need for this blast? And were is this iron mine? Chuquicamata maybe.

  • Propbably 0,7kg of explosive/m³

  • Unless you are replying to this video on a solar powered computer, that contains NO copper, and NO silica in it. Then you have NO RIGHT too speak. The plastic is derived from petroleum, the glass is mined from underground silica mines, and of course the wiring comes from open pits, or as you so called activists refer to them "strip mines".

Keep your powder dry, and thank the blue collars for allowing you too bitch, bitch online because in the end they are how you got your pc or mac.

  • Cool !!! rubik

  • haha, I can't wait until the iron ore hills around Mt Anketell get blown up like that! what a sight!

  • P.S. This is from "EXTREME ENGINEERING" series on The Science Channel -- the one about open pit iron mining near Hibbing MN. You environmental purists who live in sod huts and subsistence farm, you who never use steel ... wait a minute! ... You are not the ones online complaining, are you? That means the pathetic losers who comment here are phony little ignorant twerps!

  • My 6 y/o Grandson wanted to know, "Where's the fire?" Vietnam Marine vet Grandpa told him that REAL explosions are dark, dirty and hot -- but don't have mushrooming fireballs like the special effects in the movies. Actually, to answer his next question, yes, a FEW do have fire -- the ones using napalm.

  • hm lets see iron ore with carbon minoxide rushing out?

    or

    me farting and everyone puking?

  • Is this strip mining? I dont know much about mining, also where is this? Somewhere in the states, but anyone know where? So help me if its in my state I think I'm likely to be a bit upset.

    -Qes

  • sorry God

  • woudnt wanna breath that in =D i would steal that and make a katana!!

  • gungadin

  • DDDDAAAAAAAMMMMMMMNNNNNNNN!!!!!
