The Mazda CX-7 has this thing beat. I've driven a rental Edge for a week and I can see why people say it sucks.

An Infinity Fx-50S is definitely the way to go if you're going to get a CUV though, number one on my list.

I've got an Edge as well. I've got to say that for a crossover, It is VERY awesome to drive. I always look for reasons to floor it or accelerate hard just to hear that noise. It's a great car from a great brand.

yea i think the edge is an awesome car, i think it has great handling for a crossover, it has speed surprisingly, also i think it is one of the coolest looking crossovers out there besides that new cadillac and infinity, but for the price and what you get from it its a great car and a great buy

The weight makes the Edge very stable on the highway. Its a very confortable car. I like it a lot. Fast, smooth, spacious and very safe to drive. I will buy one soon.

like 6 footers my feel a bit in comfortable ..

for every thing else i consider it the second best crossover off-course after the infinity FX-50-S

but i still love the edge more than the infinity :D:D

Its alright, but it doesn't sound or perform as ballsy as the Direct Injected 3.6L V6 GM has. Maybe when Ford bring out the new 3.7L version we'll see some difference.

Yeah thats true.. i drove one with that the other day.. what a drive.. ! I did however loosen off the airbox for a quick drive to see what it sounded like, and it felt like a whole different motor.

hahah non turbo bud... BUT , for 2010 model year ( which is this time next year roughly ) the Edge will have twin turbos and direct injection. Lets say close to 340-350hp with the V6 version , and 340lb/ft of torque between 2000-5500rpm. Right now... 265hp

depends which version they put in.. the highest horsepower ecoboost v6 they make will be 415hp as Ford says. Not sure if they'll do that, or put a lower power one in. If they were smart, PUT IN THE BIG ONE AN LET R' RIP !!!

@junty94 tru that.. my mom got it as rental two weeks ago and I took it on a little spin through town.. it can get up and go.. plus it was a 2011 so it had the new ford looks and guts.. it was great.. u can choose between like 8 different colors like the mustang.. and the sound system was just great.. ford is stepin up i must admit..

you must have the FWD, cause the AWD models wouldn't let you crack a chirp on the tires to save your life. I love my Edge , goes fast , rides great , looks just as good.
