  • strangers in the nigth es un plagio de esta ópera

  • Ja! Where or when Tolkien said this? I do not think so. I think your are a lair...

  • @KarolusSenectus The user is right. Tolkien actually said that. I guess you are an ignorant -.-

  • one of these centuries the MET is going to program Prince Igor--a fabulous opera

  • 3:33 is where the song begins really

  • Magnificent ! In my childhood I was introduced to this work through this version without singing... I love it since then. And I have to say thanks so much, Marc Herrera for the excellent audio of your video :)

  • A MC used this song in Spain:

    Porta: Harto y Cansado.

  • Why is this the best part of the opera? There's no singing....

  • There is a metalband called Masterplan, who used this in one of their songs: Lonely Winds of War. Very beautiful song aswell so if you like symphonic metal you should check it out

  • I will be here listening many many times! Thank you for an excellent quality!

  • Lovely playing!

  • As good as it gets!

  • @dlightman1978 @dlightman1978 , Tolkien said that he had been inspired by the strength of this song to write the lord of the rings. Good question though: I forgot to write it

  • its performed by Enrique Bátiz and the Mexico State Symphony Orchestra?

  • The polovitsians "polovsti" ....... lived in the area which is now Ukraine ..

  • Is this the version directed by Valery Gergiev ?

  • @casibefa

Do not think so. Doesn't sound like Gergiev's style.

    Though maybe it is.

  • Perfect, thanks :D

I've been looking for an orchestral arrangement of Prince Igor (without the singing). My dad had a CD of it when I was a kid but I haven't been able to find it. What recording is this?

  • gooddddd

  • Lindíssimo!

  • LOTR... :) and no vocals! it's so much more beautiful without them!

  • where can i get the whole opera for free online?

  • 0:34 hahahahahahhahahahahahah

  • Brawo to jest piękne.

  • Aragorn like Prince Igor..perfect.Similar....music as the Triology movie pictures...I like it...Serbia Belgrade

  • where's the end?

  • LOL , u got thums down from LOTR fans.

The orignal opera didn't have a video :),

so to author made a compilation of LOTR images that he liked and thought that many others will like too.

You can make your own version of video editing if you like.

Personaly I just like the opera.

  • super

  • Amazing, beautiful...

  • why lord of the rings....

  • You're right... WHY? Who are the polovtsians in LOTR?

  • @haveajerk polovitsians were the nomad warrior people of turkish origin, who lived on the steps of current southern Russia. They were disappeared in 11-12th centuries. Some historians say, that were part of kipchak tribes and just went with them and settled in the territory of Southern Caucasus and Hungary

  • Who recorded this?

  • Just beautiful :)

  • es bastante rapido, pero esta bien

  • wow this is even faster than our conductor makes us play it, and hes notorious for playing way too fast :O

  • THIS IS SO SO SO SO SO SO AWESOME!

Can you upload this but with chorus that sing people PLEASE...!

  • yes please do so !!

  • beautiful

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thnx , that is exactly what I wanted to find , the symphony without the chorus!

  • Excellent mix. Thank you very much for posting.

  • Забавно - по стилистике похоже - только там правда, а это сказка.

  • I agree with delightman1978. Both are excelent works of art, but have very little in common. A better choise for the music, in my opinion, if you were to mix them, would be probably the Polovstian MARCH from the same opera. I like the try though.

  • It's sooo hard to find one with the children's chorus singing...

  • you're not trying hard enough - there are about 10 versions on youtube ... stop whining and start looking

  • Me encanta esto...y tocarlo mas aun...

  • I love that song!!
