I'm playing this song tomorrow for a piano recital, and I definitely interpreted differently from you... I play most of it much slower and with more emphasis on dynamics. However, I literally didn't start practicing seriously until last week... so I'm EXTREMELY nervous for tomorrow.

I love this song though! It's a tough one, too.

I wouldn't worry about playing it as fast as this. This is someone elses interpretation of the music and it's fine if other people play it differently. Try making the dynamics exaggerated, if you don't already. Whatever you do, don't practise it fast and get it wrong cause it will ruin the song and you'll have to practise heaps to get it right again. I did it in the middle section where the melody is in the bass and now my arpeggios in the right hand are too fast and messy. I hope I helped.

I had trouble with it too. Maybe you guys have really stiff hands when you play and they stop the music from flowing nicely. In parts that I'm still kinda learning, I get really stiff, shaky hands and I can't play properly. Also, if you learn the song well enough and can play pretty much without music, you can concentrate on making it flow and listening to what you are playing. The parts I know well flow and when I'm still reading the music in parts I don't know, it's really crap.

It's Grade 8 level. I'm learning it and man it's hard to play for me. I have the tiniest hands. It's getting easier but I had a really sore hand for a week when I started learning it.
