THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I stumbled over this looking for smth else, and you solved a problem I've been pondering for quite some time, how to make some nice suspenders for paint brushes which will hold only the part that needs to be, suspended in water (not ruining the ferrule/bristles in the ferrule + the wooden handles)! I will glue these onto the inside of the top edge of my water jar! And make more as a present for a friend! We made holders of steel wire, but they're rough on the handles...

Also, could you please tell me which size the 3M cord clips you used are? Haven't seen them here, but luckily eventually found them on eBay (they're easy to find when you search for "3M Commander cord clips". They come in small, medium and large sizes).

Ooops, came to think of one more thing that others might enjoy. I found out that acrylic paints are real tough on my brushes, but I made a cleanser fluid that works so great, leaves the brushes real soft and nice. Put a drop of good hair shampoo in a jar with a lid (jam jar or similar). Add a couple of drops of hair conditioner. Add a bit of warm water and shake carefully to dissolve. Then add cold water, almost to the top of the jar. Finally add a good splash of rubbing alcohol.

Instructions for use of cleanser fluid. First rinse paint (or make-up) off brush by dipping in water and dabbing paint off on paper. When most is out, rinse brush in water. Then rinse it in the cleanser fluid. By first using water, the cleanser fluid will last a long time, since it won't be full of paint. If you're using it for make-up, e.g. minerals, a light rinse in water first will probably be more than enough, then into the cleanser fluid. Hope this is useful! :)

This idea is great for when you need to dry your brushes. You can hang the brushes with the hair downwards that way while it is drying no water makes its way to the handle of the brush. Thanks so much Enkore!!
