Brilliant! The two pieces of gear i lust after - maybe one day! I have just purchased a nemo and a doepfer a-100 system, can't wait for them to be delivered :)
You liked the way that sounded big92078? Everytime I watch a video about the buchla, they always sound like racket. I would really like to see one video that showcases a beautiful sequence that justifies the $20,000 + price tag.
All of your videos are insanely good. I can't get over the sounds you've orchestrated. The sounds are immense, but the actual SOUND of the videos could be improved dramatically. A simple audio interface is not expensive at all.
@NiceAndCivilized thanks for the nice comments , and the critique of the audio :) I know I need to do a better job , I was just so excited to put this up when I got the octopus , I couldn't wait! The last video that I did , used direct audio. As will my future postings. Thank you for listening and chiming in :)
hyperguy, first off, it's amazing. Seriously. I know a lot of people think that it's bleeps and bloops but there's a lot more going on than that. Second, if you don't mind me asking, do you work for a university or did you flat out spend a whole lot of money for it. If I were rich, I would definitely own one. I'm totally drooling over the 222e!!! (for a cool $19,650...)
glad you like it! i dont mind you asking. these are my instruments that i purchased myself. btw , i dont think i'm rich , but i guess that's all relative . i have second 200e system on the way which includes the 222e. i'll post more vids with it when i get it.
Ha! Good point with rich being relative. I'm just used to seeing instruments (keyboards, guitars etc.) in the $3000 to $5000 price range so when I went to the Buchla site it was a bit of sticker shock. I can't wait to see more videos of these amazing instruments!! Thanks for posting man.
yes , the 100 is mine and it is compatible with the 200e to a point. the c.v. range on the 100 is 0 - 15 volts and on the 200e it is 0 - 10 volts. so the you dont have access to the full range of the 100 when being controlled by the 200e. the pulses are 15 volts on the 100 and only 10 volts on the 200e . so i try not to pulse the 200e with the 100's pulses even though it works fine. pulses work in the other direction , but not always ....
thanks a ton for the info - we have a 100 series (i work at a univ. music dept.) and possible funding for a 200e. this looks like it would be a great combo for the students.
That thing is wicked! Youtube converts to mono. Also they boost +3 db, so dont mix too hot. Computer mixing is just like regular stuff. Don't leave faders up that your not using, etc. When did you get this monstrosity!?

Buchla thing looks expensive. I estimate 10k. Am I close?
flowerpower111 1 year ago
@flowerpower111 The Buchla that is visible , 200e , would cost about $22,000 in this particular configuration.
hyperguy61 1 year ago
@hyperguy61 wow. that making it the most efficient synth around? i dunno
