  • @hepatitis123

    Ain't that the truth!

  • same as seemingly everyone else, Iron Maiden was my gateway, and my deepest love. but second upon the podium is Iced Earth. A band that I would not know, but also would not exist, without the seminal Maiden.

  • @bergeron1137 Music would have ceased to exist if Maiden never formed.

  • This album is so god damn underrated

  • Iced Earth FOREVER!!!Listening from 15 to 28.AND it shall continue FOREVER for ME!

  • Love the ending! =)

  • La amo saludo desde chile <3

  • gamaei

  • @ExtremelyCurse i prefer barlow, that's true, but cmon! tim owens is fucking good too!

  • @ 2:30 instant head rush.

  • love iced earth man

  • Would have been nice had Tim been re-hired.

  • Ripper was a fresh air to the band. Both in Judas Priest and in Iced Earth. Much more emotional.

  • @nubirski I don't think he's more emotional than Matt, I'd say they have different ways of showing emotion while singing, but Tim was defintely a great add to the band when Matt left, they both are truely unique singers.

  • Hey dude check out the 1st vid in my favorites (good person) and let me know wat u think, Thanks man =

  • Who the HELL pressed dislike????

  • @heavymetalidomeneas someone must have twitched when trying to click the like button

  • I'm the assassian the dealer of fate ^^

  • Does anyone else think this would go good with Doctor who?

  • @TheAmeader that would make a kickass AMV!

  • Schaffer and Barlow rule IE. Plus Matt's married to Schaffers sister how awesome ain't that? Barlows range in vocals is amazing and Ripper never had the emotional part that is needed for IE works. Barlow has it all; high-pitch, dark vocals, emotional vocals and power above else. He fits IE so perfect that nothing else compares to him. Ripper is good, but Barlow fits for IE-metal. Those who say that Glorious Burden was written for Tim is wrong, due to that the songs were written before Matt left.

  • @BalderLucifer

I agree but I wouldn't of swapped them out on the albums they sang on

  • i compared this guy with primer fear singer both are good and the style almost are the same

  • @icereaper33 Well i think the primal fear guy sounds a lot like rob halford Almost identical

  • @projectzero101

    i have to disagree ..

barlows vocal range goes actually more in the lowers than the rippers does.. but barlows range in the higher notes are for his general vocal also incredibly high!

    so all in all

his voice got a rather huge spectrum!

  • i wish they'd write a book about the story in their songs :D

  • @myvidutube There are rumors thats says that Jon is going to make a comic series out of the Set Abominae Saga. It's going to be written by Jon and Illustrated by guys that worked with Spawn, but then again this is just rumors.

  • @myvidutube Ive always wanted a movie about them. If done well it would be so good.

  • I think Matt Barlow is over rated. Ripper is way better and I think he has more of a range than Matt also.

  • @projectzero101 I disagree

Ripper is actually pretty great , But I prefer Matt barlow. Saying that ripper has a bigger range is simply wrong. In addition Matt Barlow is THE signer for Iced Earth and this is a FACT !! (of course it'S not a fact :P but God ! His vocals are so

    fucking fitting on Jon's work!)

  • Kids still bringing Metallica into Videos. Sad.

  • @mujuma i think it's also weird how comments about justin bieber could get under metalsongs on youtube :D the world's overflowing with stupid kids who like to give their worthless oppinions to every shit they slightly heard of -_-'' so annoying...

  • Why the fuck does Iced Earth have like the two most awesome Singers EVER!?

  • yeah but Barlow voice is IE. no other singer could come in and take Barlows.

  • iced earth and metallica are top best bands ever

  • @YoGurtDale metallica were good but definitely not the best

  • @LOGasm14 Metallica ONCE used to be good

  • @linkinparkmomo nooo.... are you implying they made anything good (besides when they used Dave Mustaine's materiel)?

  • @YoGurtDale no, they are not, Metallica is pretty bad

  • @krismason123456789 um yeah their later stuff is not that great but the first four albums are very good....sad you cant understand that

  • @YoGurtDale That i can't understand that? I just bought the first four Metallica albums because everyone and there mother says that even though the other half of there catalogue is terrible that they are masterpieces... besides Mustaines material, Metallica is a pretty below average band... how they even compare to bands like Slayer and Megadeth is beyond me, they have the most overrated Drummer and Lead guitarist in the genre and the best thing about there band died in the 80's =[

  • @krismason123456789 its not kirks fault hes overated and they are actually really good its just too bad you dont agree. by the way iced earth is the best band in the world. i just dont think this album is as good as the other ones

  • @YoGurtDale Amen, brother.

  • @krismason123456789 Nevertheless they have one of the best writers and composers in thrash, and thats James Hetfield.

  • @karrazaki89 James' best work were just Mustaine rewrites 'Four Horsemen' 'Ride the Lightning' ETC ETC... James isn't that great of a writer (See black album to Death Magenetic)

Metallica is like everyones *first* metal band, and they just think its fucking fantastic, lawl, i honestly don't see it.

  • @krismason123456789 i would say slipknot is everyone's first metal band, because up until 2007 i had no clue the thrash metal metallica even existed, i had only heard the crap from st anger and load. and that's not a very good definition of "heavy metal", but then again, neither is slipknot.

  • @leifericson923 slipknot's solos sucks and the vocals is way to heavy and boring.

No music at all. NUFF SAID, this is much better.

  • @uniquesolo96 i'm agee with you the only album from slipknot i love is the first one the another ones sucks and they no have good solos, this new guy from iced earth is awesome

  • @leifericson923

not mine. iron maiden were my first metal band and to this day they remain my favorite. slipknot are garbage and give the metal genre a bad name.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 agreed slipknot suck ass

  • @crazybaseballdude12 It seems like it's natural to like Iced if you like Maiden. The first metal band I fell in love with is Maiden, and after that I tried to listen to uncoutable others, but no one was close to Maiden, until I found Iced. I love this band, but Maiden is no. 1 though ;)

  • @rkrokberg

Indeed it is. I haven't been listening to Iced Earth that long (about 6 months), but I became a fan of them quickly. I think the first song I heard was Melancholy (Holy Martyr). Iron Maiden will always be my all time favorite metal band, but IE will always be the best power metal band (as well as one of my favorite metal bands overall).

I heard Dystopia and though Stu is not as good as Barlow, he is still great. Horror Show will always be their best though.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 thank you, about time more people figured out that slipknot are terrible and that iron maiden and iced earth are fantastic

  • i had a t-shirt with that picture on it from them, it was my favorite! but i gave it go my GF lthe night before i left to come back to NY cuz its a ldr. she loves it! and i love her! and i love the band too ! xD

  • Their best song. Period.

  • Comment removed

  • @SladeWins clearly you haven't heard all of iced earth's songs

  • @buddthumper Some time ago I had a chance to listen to their whole discography for a while, and this is the song i remembered the most, thus liked the most. So yeah, IMO this is their best song. The feeling while listening is just epic.

  • ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

  • @otheirony618 "You will feel this shepard!"

  • Iced Earth >>>>>>>>>> Metallica

  • @zSliz1 yeah man IE is wayyyyy better. i wouldnt even say they're better than metallica. its a known fact. just like how an elephant is more mighty and majestic than a beetle/ant. thats pretty much IE and 'tallica. lol

  • i love this song, one of the best on crucible of man.

i also like i walk alone and a gift or a curse

  • i like the explosive tone in this song about at 1:00

  • is hansi kursch singing backup vocals in this song?

  • @zSliz1 i think so sounds like great hansi

  • "I thrive as the lone traveler

Trough the folds of time and space

    the chosen one to foreshadow

the hand of god will eradicate this race

I am the past, I'm cure for sorrow

I am the now, I'm the every age

I'm the future ending mans tomorrow

the hand of god, the harbinger of fate"

    I love Anti-Man songs like this. O_O \m/

  • @Kletyse yeah!

  • Great song! Does anyone know the lyrics of the chorus in the end, they sound like singing in latin

  • i was about to get this album like 7 times now. But the damn people at the stores would talk me into used deals and all that. I feel so stupid that i wouldve passed up on such a great album so many times. I dont care what deals are there, im getting it next time!

  • @wealldie12 next time just say "fuck you. I want Iced Earth"

  • which is the start of them selling out, with all that enter snadman nonsense.

  • Metallica sucks after ...And Justice For All, so anything from the black album on is just a shame to listen to

  • Anyone know who does the chanting in this song?

  • The song is "Bleeding me". Load's track number seven.

  • o allos leei gia tn paok....ax0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 parta re...xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa eleos.....

  • When i originally got this album, I didn't like it because it was so different from old Iced Earth. The something wicked saga changed my life.

  • How did the Something Wicked Saga change your life?

  • He probably wrapped himself in some bandages, got one of those egyptian beard things, an Ankh staff, and proceeded to kick major ass while singing like Tim "Ripper" Owens.

  • A perfect song from a perfect album!!! Iced Earth rules!!!

  • this is one of the best songs on the album but i have to say come what may is just as good if not better

  • can someone tell me if they have any idea what the choir in the background is chanting and it's meaning? very powerful. Iced Earth rocks!

  • masterpiece

  • best band ever!!!

  • stupid nab. this a really good song.. i'm the harbinger of sorrow ¬¬ be carefull

  • Metal like this, awesome or not, should never be taken too seriously~

  • Maybe not or maybe yes. . .people would like to say that the stuff they listen to doesn't influence them (which might be true) but in some cases it does but the effects are slow in coming and it might be many years before they become a different person as a result of their choices.

  • Yea...agreed... But still it is a story, part of a culture, even if we don't learn something from it we at least think a bit deeper into existence.

Thats what makes metal so great, we get to think. But if we take a band like manowar seriously we might just have to go to valhalla or something stupid

  • Best song on their new album rly awesome now math is back. Hail from Cyprus

  • feel the pain!

  • Oh Yeah!!

  • All the songs are good because Barlow is back and all is well. It reminds me of the old days when i iced earth was in my cassette player. I had stopped listening to iced earth when matt was away, just didn't sound right. A great mistake has been corrected!

  • I AGREE BUT STILL, Ripper has a unique voice and he has many good songs with iced earth

  • Forza PAOK!! lol tora eida oti ise ellinas..

  • file q1908q, o Ripper einai mia xara tragoudistis me fonara kiolas...omos...gia mena schafer & barlow einai oi iced earth. • paokara reeee lol

  • aman re malaka eleos :D

  • Awesome!!! I think this is one of the best songs from The Crucible of Man!

  • Gotta love it ;P I much prefer the energy of Divide Devour though

  • I hate the chorus of Divide Devour^^

that's the only thing i don't like on CoM

  • Divide devour has the weakest vocals and lyrics on the track but the lyrics are still great and the vocals are still awesome but compared to every other song on the track it's the weakest

  • OK I need to know! and quickly too plz....

    The crucible of man! or

    Judas priest Nostradamus...

For a new album? plz gonna order now

  • order the crucible of man :P

  • Haha thx ...i did... i realise now it was a bad place to ask since the answer is obvious.

I asked at a priest vid and they said priest...go figure

  • ask @ a vid that has nothing to do with this, like a vid of Slayer or so, yeah oke, they will prob say you got to order slayer but whatever :p

  • listen to some songs from The Crucible Of Man and from Nostradamus and then order one, that sounds better :D

  • me second favorite of this album, my favorite is Behold the Wicked Child.

  • crucify the king and sacrifical kingdoms

  • THATS damn rigth. matt is the shit. but tim was greatfull in glorious burden. he lost the good voice in framing..

  • shit in my boots this is epic

  • like the expression

  • Awesome song! Barlow rules! Hope you don't forget Pyramaze new album Immortal with Barlow, because that album rules too!!!

  • anyone else hear the tassa

  • if anyone knows how can you tab this out on guitar or let me know where i can find the tab

    thanks

  • Hard to pick a fav song on this album. So many good ones. Wonder why they haven't done any official videos for it?

I saw 'em on tour in San Francsico with Into Eternity and Saviors. Was an awesome show!

  • epic

  • Fucking awesome song, fucking awesome album, fucking glad about Barllow is back, so ICED FUCKING EARTH is BACK.

  • Damn I want new Iced Earth songs to be just as good as Alive in Athens songs are ;(

  • could you sent me that disc plaese? is awesome

  • Best song of of The Crucible of Man, no doubt.

  • Come What May, Divide Devour, Something Wicked Part 3, it's a fucking kick ass album.

  • A song like this could have been a more appropriate finisher for the Set Abominae saga because it has a more epic sense in my opinion. Best song on the album, indeed. Anyone know the lyrics to the latin part with the choir? I can only make out "Diabolus" as the last line, if i'm correct.

  • Great song. Rock on Iced Earth

  • What Burn Offering a dissapointemnt???--It's the album that made them well known--it's classic man,...don't speak nonsense!! Indeed Horror show was also great, but a step down from the first 4 albums. I don't like the mid-tempo songs of this album, not what I want from I E right now. You people are stupid comparing 2 great singers...Unfortunatelly the one has to compete with the guy who made I. E famous so...(previous album which I bought seems way better than this)

  • The reason why people say Burnt Offerings is a disappointment is because Jon isn't happy with it. Jon has made it very well known that Burnt Offerings isn't his favorite album and to be one of IE's worst in his mind.

  • Jepp, so says Jon. I personally think Burnt Offerings is their best album - that's how opinions differ :)

Really good song. That new album has a bit TOO much midtempo stuff though. Would have liked a little more divide and devour feeling on it. But the Harbinger really is a cool song.

  • Oh I agree. Burnt Offerings is a great album and Jon doesn't give it enough credit. I love the new album though, definitely a lot better than Glorious Burden.

  • Burnt Offerings is a great album, but I'm going to have to say Horror Show is my favorite.

  • Mine too.

  • One of the top 3 songs on this album. A killer ending to the trilogy. Most people are completely underrating this cd. Classic!

  • last album was way better. tim reaper owens can do so much more with his voice

  • Tim is a great singer and all, but Matt is the one who can do anything with his voice. He has a powerful emotional voice that can make you feel what he's singing.

But I'm not taking anything away from Tim. Tim is fucking awesome as well.

  • really? , cuz i sort of think the opposite. its all point of view i guess

  • We haven't really seen what Ripper can do with his voice. In all honesty we've only seen him do one style and that is the Halford style.

But as I said, don't get me wrong, Ripper is a killer singer with amazing vocal abilities. Its just that Matt has more power in his voice, emotion, and can make you feel what the song or the character is about.

Songs like Creator Failure, A Question of Heaven, Dracula, Dantes Inferno, and etc are Matt's songs. No one can sing them like Matt.

  • lastsunrise1981 i agree even tho dantes inferno was a disappointment for me,thank god for dark saga after that, then horror show(best album ever) but the way i look at the last 2 albums is like this

tim-the voice of the human race

    barlow-the voice of the setians

both sound awesome barlow has a more melancholic way of singing and lets u grasp the emotion of the song at fullest,BUT in the song hollow man tim does display he can do melancholic as well, barlow is just better at it they still rock!!

  • its ripper owens not reaper dumbass

  • About the Tim Owens,he is the man,but honesty when I first time heard that Barlow leaving the band I was sad but Tim is also a powerful singer and Iced Earth is Iced Earth and albums whit Tim is kick ass,but when I heart that Barlow is coming back I was so happy but sad for Tim,I was hopping that they together sing sometimes

  • Ive been the biggest fan of Iced Earth for about 8 years and holy shit I am so glad that they have Matt Barlow back. He MADE Iced Earth what they are. His voice makes this power metal band so great. Agree? If your a fan u should. Hail Iced Earth. and if u guys like them you will like the guys they are on tour with right now. there called Into Eternity, very good mix of power and black metal

  • listen to the first 4 albums, especially "Stormrider". And listen to any song by LOST HORIZON, pay attention to "Welcome Back" and scream!!!

  • Wow how come I never listened to these guys??

  • I really really really love this song!

    HAIL ICED EARTH INDEED!

  • Awesome. Still need to buy the album. Hail Iced Earth.

  • This is probably the most awesome song on the album. To be honest its not the best album, but it's the first back with Matt so that's ok. Has some good songs though, so you could get it if you're a diehard fan.

  • I am a die-hard fan and thanks for the advice. In a way, I could agree a little bit but most of the album is great with what I've listened to so far. My favorite song so far is Devour Devide along with A Gift Or A Curse. Still getting the album.
