Hey, im pretty happy to find someone whose been able to get such high voltages and frequency. Been searching for weeks for something like that! You think you could pass me some schematics or instructions on how to build one like yours?
i especially like the "from garbage parts" thing, except that you used a buttload of tape lmao
I don't think rubber boots would work, because I'm running the coils on very high voltages, 50-60kV each. But I later put about 20 layers of electric isolation tape, and it did the trick.

You can't get some rubber boots for the coil?
It seems to do the trick, at least on lower voltages(10-20 KV) combined with solid copper cored sparkplug wire.

Very nice setup and experiments you did there ! :-)
Are you using the 8 µF (btw I like what they look like) caps as part of a resonance circuit with the primary coil?

is that what we call a corona!? it's so fucking cool

Submerse the ignition coils in mineral oil, that will keep them from arcing unwantedly.

Thanks for advice, but oil is kinda messy. I was able to avoid the overarcing by about 20 layers of isolation tape.

do you have the schematic or a plan on how to built 1.

excellent for only 8uF
