  • Dear Kiwis: You are one of the most generally well liked of all nations on this earth. You try not to mess with others, and you have a joy of life that is infectious. This is a stunning disaster, but you are strong and you will recover. Regardless, we are all sending as much help as we can, as fast as we can get it there. We do this because that is what friends do for each other. You are not alone in this.

  • @sumiparii "before the day of judgement there will be lot of rain, lanslides, earthquakes "

Do you have any clue how many natural disasters strike the earth per year? Do you even have a ballpark figure?

" today they have suffered tomorrow it can b our turn "

    Is...this extortion??

  • I WAS THERE IT WAS SOOOO F'ING SCARY WHAT A HORRIFIC NIGHT! WATCH OUT FOR MY VIDEO ABOUT IT!

  • It seems every time there is a major calamity somewhere around the world it triggers some reaction in retards the world over as they start tapping out dd things on their keyboards. What is this about NZ or Chch being Islamic????? Even retards have a sense of humor.

  • @BlackHawk30622 Learn to spell.

  • @BlackHawk30622 Is that a trick question? Of course i find humour in the misfortune of others.

  • @BlackHawk30622 I laughed though.

  • Sonny Bill was taking a big dump at around half 4 early in the morning unfortunately. He should have known that such big ego's don't fit down pipes that size, he clogged the sewer system and it blew kind of like Guadalajara etc and so he said on the news he had to use a plunger and with the motion of plunging and shifting the poos back and forth and it registered on the Richter scale.

  • well this all happened on my 14th birthday!!!

  • You know, it's funny when you hear the Kiwi cry-baby accents complaining because of a few underground shocks.

Where is the sense of humour?? When you see buildings collapsing like legos it's damn hilarious.

  • @MisterLemonde They are not aftershocks anymore, they are getting bigger and bigger, we had another 5.1 two days ago and i tore down the house i was staying in, put my nanna in hospital.

It's not hilarious when the ones you love are getting hurt.

  • @JessieMareeXx I know, but i don't get a bite from the WTC videos these days.

  • @FearLessDiva1994 Oh it did, in Newcastle. Just it's funnier when it happens in Christchurch ;-)

  • i love my 2nd home town and i am sick off the ground moving had one to day at 4.8 i am want these to stop

  • This is disgusting. There has been an earthquake in Christchurch and all i can see is Australians being nasty to New Zealanders? What is wrong with you? Im british, been to both countries, actually been to Christchurch, there all as nice as eachother...All you who have put nasty negative comments...watch your town too...You are highh on the earthquake ricter scale....

  • @TheNattylane really? who put me high on the richter scale? i could say whatever the fuck i want and it wont make my town be hit by a earthquake faggot

  • @harobmx123 are you under water? if so, hugs to you, now be nice ffs

  • @TheNattylane or flooding....now lets see how nice we are to them..

  • @TheNattylane our societies are corrupt instead of the english speaking brothers sticking together as usual the dumbasses want to make us enemies!people are hopless!

  • @TheNattylane our societies are corrupt instead of the english speaking brothers sticking together as usual the dumbasses want to make us enemies!people are hopeless!

  • man sum of u r immature have sum respect for us christchurch ppl u wouldnt even have a clue what weve been through its absolutly shi!

  • scary shit.

never mind, christchurch is still beaufiful in my eyes (:

  • @omgitsjaaydee thanks for giving us some happy thoughts! but to be honest it was bloodly sad and scary!

  • @WhingingAussie you are eejit, come to Christchurch and see the damage yourself, Theres more then you would imagine. Power poles were down in numerous places. Most of the city lost power.

  • 1. Christchurch is not a religious name,a founder named it after a College which is part of Oxford University in England he attended.

    2. Most of the buildings that took extensive damage were old historic buildings.

3 The "important" historic building that have been re-enforced faired very well, not seen here.

    4. The Modern high rises (well around 15-25 stories) faired very well.

    5. 90% of homes are fine, 9% some damage but very repairable, 1% a write off.

  • @laki5aabi No one died because it happened at 4.30am saturday morning. if it was 12 hours later, or in rush hour traffic then there would certainly have been deaths. Another reason that no one died from houses caving in and such was because here houses are built to withstand earthquakes. 90% of the buildings that collapsed, or bulldozed down are historical buildings. Know your facts before talking shit.

  • @SmeezySisters----------What the road name?

  • @maoren722 the streets in the video? its on the bottom corner of the video

  • Shocking, we were in ChCh this year, it's a truely beautiful city with lots of character. hopefully the NZ government won't make the same mistakes as the USA and let this turn into another "New Orleans"

  • chemtrails plus haarp equals............7.4/7.0 whoever you beleive !

get together people, all decent ones any way, u know, the type that actually care about the future of their children and grandkids. i know theres not many of us out there, and the ones that do speak up....well we all know that theyre just nuts right? seem absolutely BIZZARE that these same conspiracy "nuts" keep on predicting the future for us huh? i think if you still listen to your gov lies, then its too late for you.

  • All the support and best wishes to our kiwi friends in Christchurch.

This video brought back to mind the worst moments of the 8.8 earthquake+tsunami in Concepcion, Chile last february.

  • I am not an idiot guys my comment is so important my comments are making all of you to write to me an idot who make peole talk means that he's not and idiot

  • omg!!

  • @KillaC4Mammie This city was named after the Oxford College which one of the founders had attended prior to emigrating. Nothing to do with religion.

What purpose is served by your remarks about the Haiti Calamity by the way? They seem tasteless, heartless, and quite frankly shameful sentiments for a professing Christian.

  • i stayed there for 3 weeks 5 yrs ago what a shithole the place realy is the people there a total ass wipes made me feel ashamed to be a kiwi

  • @TheDallas2000 according to your page, you're from hong kong...

  • People don't realize we have had close on 400 earthquakes in 6 days, a7.1 a 6many 5's countless lesser quakes, to the point I considered them personally rateing them!

    I graded my scale as

    7 Vomit 6 burp 5 fart and 4 yawn

  • @KillaC4Mammie .... we are a great country, you can see it within all these comments, its a beautiful sight, it means we have a thinking nation.

  • I lived in California for 5 years and experienced the Hector Mine quake. Fortunately, we were far enough away from the epicenter to not sustain any lasting damage. However, I know what it feels like and my heart goes out to all New Zealanders. The US has not reported much on the quake, but there's plenty of news to be had online. Stay safe you all. You're in my prayers.

  • @wiinterrr Thanks mate. It's the aftershocks that get to you after a while, but we are holding up ok. Your thoughts are appreciated.

  • @stoon12

Christchurch is not an Islam city, and New Zealand is deffinately NOT an Islam country.

  • @showbizmuse01 I did not said that he is an islam city or an islam country take more time when u r reading man

  • @stoon12 You're an idiot, the only reason Mosque's appear better off after catastrophes in Islamic countries is because your elite pump all their funds into building these temples whilst leaving their congregation to live in ramshackle little shacks. Great priorities.

In this case they have survived because they are newer buildings compared to the old established churches.

Not Christian by the way, just capable of thought

  • @overbearer Who told you that ? Islam is the first religion who came on this world that means the mosuees were built first the church

and there is many old mosquees on this worl and they still strong and protecful

  • @overbearer No, Islam is the truth.

  • @RayKalmNiam Seems the great Poseidon is angry with ChrstChurch.

Clearly we should sacrifice a goat.

  • @stoon12 Probably more due to the fact that the Dean's Ave Mosque is a new building, and the churches are over a hundred years old.

  • @centerbark who told that islam is not a new religion all our mosquees are old and there are other who are news

  • @stoon12

Oh great.., another dickhead using religion as an excuse to push their agendum.

Grow up and get real. There is no omnipotent being and if we pretend for a moment that there is, I want no part of one that has a prophet that marries a six year old. Not to mention the oppression of women and some fantasy involving virgins. Sick, sick, sick.

You are another shameful aspect of humankind. As if we need more.

  • @Oilisdeathtomany Yo motha...er dont u see what happend in in Palestine

do you really think about all the small girls who died there

  • I ♥ NZ, this has been a long time comming, im just glad no one was hurt, wasnt expecting it to hit chch though, i live in nelson and i woke up to my bed shaking!

  • @carmyn87 ae you allways expect it to hit somewhere like Wellington just on the fault line

  • Nice.pictures.Myheart goes out to all those in Christchurch, kiapoi, darfield,.where the earthqauke hit.I have famly up there and survived it ok.But others were not so fortunate. Hey hang in there, and best of luck,My thoughts are with youes.

  • I am amazed that no-one died,, AMAZING!!!

  • @vyceapparel- your a nob, i can assure you that honestly no one here in canterbury (at the moment) gives a flying stuff about the starving or homeless 1000s of miles away when basically for a developed country like NZ we are having our own problems trying to get clean water to our hospitals and homes and getting electricity restored.

  • wow, some really thick comments left on here....(not going to mention names). The main reason why I think we didnt have any casulties was due to the face no one was out Friday night/Saturday morning (I know that as i work in hospo).. it was too cold and there actually wasnt anything on except for a gig down at double happy, secondly the population of Canterbury is spread out, Unlike Auckland and Wellington which has a more centralised population.

  • and in other news millions of people in pakistan are homeless and are dying but we'll come back to that after the weather back to the earthquake in chirstchurch where local diary owner mr patel has broken windows

  • @vyceapparel Are you serious? Have some fucking respect. We have our own problems to deal with here currently and are still coping with big aftershocks that are ongoing! What do you want? Us to drop everything thats happened in our area and watch the news about pakistan? Grow up bro

  • @vyceapparel Can u be any more arrogant??? Sure we all know that millions of people are dying in pakastan and our harts go out to them. But New Zealand is only a country of 4million people and if this quake hit hours before or after people would have been working and shopping in those buildings that have been demolished. Thats why its a miracle no one died. The quake was the same size as the one in hati. Asshole

  • @vyceapparel So...Mr. Patel's shop windows are going to cost somewhere between Five and Eight BILLION dollars to repair, are they? Check your facts before posting next time smartass.

  • this was freaky there meant to be more aftershocks for a week

  • @stoon12 Yes it is true in Muslim countries, mosques are still

    spared by the earthquake.

  • @Namaan63 thx u r the only one who understood my coment

  • @Namaan63

And here in Christchurch, not only were a number of religious sites spared but not a single human died. Not one. If one wants to debate this religious bollocks then please, explain why a city populated by so few superstitious idiots had an earthquake occur at the precise time that would result in the least likelihood of injury and/or death? Give the religious bollocks up and just say, "hurrah! We survived and we were very fortunate indeed"

  • @Namaan63 Thank u guy

  • @Namaan63 Fuck Off. honestly.

  • @stoon12 and what relevence does this have with Christchurch?.. show some respect.... Christchurch is not an Islamic city (hence the name "Christ-Church") and NZ is not an Islamic Country......such stupid stupid comments....

  • @MrHallucinario u did not understood i did not said tah christchurch is an islamic city read my well my coment and u will understand

OR READ THE COMENT OF (Namaan63)

    u r just a bamboclate

  • @MrHallucinario the city was named by the Canterbury Association, which settled the surrounding province of Canterbury. The name of Christchurch was agreed on at the first meeting of the association on 27 March 1848. It was suggested by John Robert Godley, who had attended Christ Church, Oxford.

Nothing to do with religion at all.

  • .The usual Māori name for Christchurch is Ōtautahi ("the place of Tautahi"). This was originally the name of a specific site by the Avon River near present-day Kilmore Street and the Christchurch Central Fire Station. The site was a seasonal dwelling of Ngāi Tahu chief Te Potiki Tautahi, whose main home was Port Levy on Banks Peninsula. The Ōtautahi name was adopted in the 1930s. Prior to that the Ngāi Tahu generally referred to the Christchurch area as Karaitiana,

  • @centerbark Just goes to show. Maori or Pakeha, all the boss wants is a city named after him. Welcome to Bob-town?

  • @centerbark I wonder what name the Moriori gave it before the Maori came?...

  • @MrHallucinario

I just shake my head at such superstitious nonsense. Surely, if Islam, Christianity or myriad other load of superstitions were true, then their "god" wouldn't have allowed its creation "planet earth" to wreak such destruction. If their loving deity gave a shit then, as this planet is their creation, they're cruel and unloving to put us through this. Oh man.., I could run around in circles on how bollocky these religions/politics are. I will ask though, "Where Is The Love?"

  • looks like an aftermath from a Battle, from Iraq

  • i cant belive this actually lol im from aucks

  • 'glass falling out of baldings' gotta to love the kiwi accent :)

  • A day we will never forget.

  • This is mother nature & its caused by climate change- we've to understand that these things happen to people in less developed countries & will happen to us more often. Yet we want understanding & sympathy but those places get nothing or very little help. I'd say this is unfortunate but its a part of climate change. Instead of undersanding & respecting nature & preparing ourselves we feed into Western tech & advancement having a fear of nature as we rapidly exploit & destroy her of resources.

  • @anglinthemtns what the? Are you serious?? Are you trying to tell me that the earthquake that has pretty much destroyed half my town, destroyed my work etc was caused by global warming? And wtf? Since when were we lessdeveloped? Have you ever been to Christchurch? probably not.... I find your comments extremly insultng. Show me the science that says earthquakes are caused by friken global warmingChristchurch is an amazing city with some of the most friendly people you would ever met

  • @MrHallucinario Absolutely, I am northerner, I have been to the south and what struck me was its people. Damn good hearted folk, I was struck by their sincere warmth. Truly warm people.

  • @MrDoublehappy Im originally from Kaitaia and ive been here for 5-6 years, there are a few nobs but thats the same with every city. What has blown me away though is how cantabrians have pulled together and helped each other out. We are off to Darfield with voulenteers to help out.... every bit counts

  • @anglinthemtns Christchurch is my home, and honestly the people of canterbury dont need to hear your hippy garbage

  • @anglinthemtns earth quakes are the tectonic plates moving... not global warming also one of the reasons no one died is because of the building codes and earth quake proofing on many buildings, with out those much much more of the city would have collapsed, as it is its mainly (though not only) old brick buildings that broke.. so yeah that 'Western tech and advancement' saves lives...

  • Comment removed

  • @anglinthemtns what do you mean?? that nz is a less developed country and thats why we had an earthquake?? where not some 3rd world country.

  • @anglinthemtns WTF christchurch or New Zealand for that matter of fact is in no way a "less developed country". In fact we are the complete opposite and one of the safest and most desirable places in the world to live in

  • @anglinthemtns less developed? seriously? New Zealand is one of the most well developed countries in the world. Just 'cause we appear little on the map, does not mean we should not be considered or just recognised as 'less developed'. That's bullshit. Buildings must be well-built because New Zealand has, on average, 200 earthquakes a year. Don't talk shit you know nothing about. I bet you have never even been to Christchurch, or New Zealand for that matter, so shut your face.

  • @SmeezySisters Some people talk from experience and others talk from ignorance (but ignorance is bliss for many). I am glad nobody got hurt but to be frank the place needed a bit of shaking-up from the attitudes of people like you.

  • @anglinthemtns i'm defending my hometown. whats so ignorant about that? you obviously know nothing about the earthquake or Christchurch. talking from experience? what experience? so you've been to christchurch and you reckon we're 'less developed'? i find that hard to believe.

  • @anglinthemtns less developed? smd my computer is probably 100x better than yours.

  • @anglinthemtns Thats enough coffee and Fox News for you. prat!

  • im glad i moved away from NZ!!!

  • @benjamintaylor2010 We are glad you left haha

  • @benjamintaylor2010 where are you benjamin? like this or some sort of natural disaster wont happen where you moved too.. Plz grow up honey

  • @ClareTrish that was a joke, people like u act like your literally better and more knowledgeable than everybody else. Don't tell me to grow up because you don't know me. What the hell are you trying to say?

  • All the JAFA'S up here thinking of you all Christchurches... We all thank Heavenly Father everyone down there are not seriously hurt. Our love and support from us are with you... Peace.

  • @Vitalaufolauleka

Love back at ya, Vitaloufolauleka. Heavenly father nonsense, notwithstanding, I appreciate your loving words. All the best to you and yours and if you've not got it in place, then apart from prayer, you may want to take more practical measures in case such an awful event occurs in your home. Put practical measures in place because your superstitions won't save you. If anything, this terrible week should remind us that we need to be prepared. Love to you and yours.

  • @Oilisdeathtomany Much respect to you and your opinion on religion but I believe it and it's kept me blessed good or bad. For me without hard work all belief is dead. So from me I hope all that gives you strength maintains it's promises to you. For we all believe in good things whether it be something or someone. Love ya heaps from mate. My thoughts are with you all.

  • My house is starting to go in half and is about 2 go into Avon I anit movin till we r told to got power and no water but we are fine omg it was so scary

  • Our thoughts are with the Canterbury residents.

    God bless you.

    Love from Wellington.

  • this is nothing like our house my house only has a cracked lamp shade!

nothing outside no sand or cracks in lawn!

that was a little after shock then!

  • this is nothing like our house my house only has a cracked lamp shade!

nothing outside no sand or cracks in lawn!

that was a little after shock then!

  • god bless and keep you fellas safe...much love for chchch

  • we're up here in darfield sat on the epicentre. i have to say, this isnt fun!! this is my 2nd day in new zealand and my friend and i are staying up through the night incase another one kicks off. i have to say the tremours have died down considerably, but there was no warnings when the big one came, so everybodys on edge up here! having to take it in shifts sleeping!! i honestly thought a f**kin t-rex was running through the garden at 4:30am!!!

  • @numero96 If your family had died you wouldn't be online within a day or two of it happening. Instead you would be mourning their deaths and preparing the funeral. So quit attention seeking and stop thinking the sun shines out your ass.

  • @MrDracon86 Ur not here r u. U don't have after shocks constantly. U r arrogant people who don't know what it like here and u couldn't care less. u people f#@#$##kn annoy me with your arrogance. If this was a few hours before or after in buisuness hours hundreds would be dead. Its a miracle and your just bitching around

  • @whitepeakfilms I live in Rotorua. I have plenty of family in Christchurch whom I was worried about when I heard there had been a major earthquake. But it has been STATED on the news and everything that NO ONE has died. If your family had died would you jump online to post about it to random people who don't know you? Or would you be upset and trying to plan for the funeral? Don't think you know what the fuck your talking about. Its people who attention seek that are the ones who are bitching.

  • @MrDracon86 Its not called ATENTION SEEKING its called informing the outside worl. u have family in chch don't you? What would you be thinking if there were no videos for people to see and it was only the media greatly exaggerating the situation in words. U would be going crazy worring about ur family. U r such an asshole

  • @whitepeakfilms Really? So now informing complete strangers who have no clue who you are that your family died in an earthquake where NO ONE died is not attention seeking? If there were no videos about it then I would never have known until my family contacted me and then I'd know they were ok because they were contacting me. Grow up retard.

  • @MrDracon86 What about the outside world? I have relatives in america & how were they to know about the quake if it wern't 4 videos like this. I allways like to know what is happening in the outside world and places like youtube inform us of that stuff. Why don't you stop bullshitting around asshole

  • @whitepeakfilms Watch the news sometime fucktard. You may think the media exaggerates but if its a live feed they can't. I'm not bullshitting around like the person I originally commented about who was trying to get attention by claiming their family died in a time where the only person who died was someone dying by a heart attack. ONE person died not an entire family. Go fuck your mother if you can't understand what my opinion is stating.

  • @MrDracon86 I do watch the news. You don't drive round the streets of chch do u? You could easily 4get there has been an earthquake in most areas. And I know u were commenting on someone who claimed their family died. But if they did die (im in no way saying they died) some people may find it comforting to go online with it. I certainly found comfort in going online when power was restored becuase it took my mind off things

  • 1 person died but it was from a heart attack wich probably would of happend anyways

  • We're all thinking of you guys down there....... we'll get you runnin again from the Tron

  • shit

  • i feel like abit of LOOTING!

  • @allan9874 First spot we hit was the liquor store, I finally got all the alcohol I couldn't afford!

  • reminds me of cloverfield xD

  • Comment removed

  • @numero96 dont lie man. its not cool and there hasent been any reports of casualties apart from 2 ppl rushed to intensive care. also your gona give sum1 bad flashbacks of their loved ones lost in a natural disaster.

  • lost our chimney and so has everyone with a brick chimney in our steet. Stores destoryed only 1 or two blocks away.

  • It'll be really nice to know how come there's no death in such major earthquake? Is it just luck? The time? Or something further such as quick reaction or so? It could be a good lesson for other places. Here in Taiwan we have minor earthquakes every month, major ones hit once in a while and always bring deaths and injuries.

  • @ariel0785 It was good because everyone was in bed. In the university library for example bookshelves have toppled down like dominoes, and would easily have killed anyone under them. Tons of vacant cars crushed by bricks.

  • @ariel0785 Im not sure but my guess christ church is less populated city and our infanstructure is a lot more stronger. hope that helps.

  • Comment removed

  • i hope this means satan is coming! XD

  • @trentnz what a stupid thing to say, is that the best you can come up with, moron

  • As an ex-pat Cantabrian with family in Darfield I wish you all the very best for a rapid and complete recovery. I think's it's going to take quite a while though. Can anyone update me on any damage to the iconic Canterbury Museum, Arts Centre and CHCH Boys High School Buildings ( I am an ex oldboy)

  • god that was the frekiest moment of my life in ten and this was real scary

  • Fukin hell it's looks like the start of a alien movie or some scary movie it sounded like foot prints of a massive robot alien or something every after shock gezz 1 sec mine and everyone around new zealands lifes changed so fast
