  • Hi there, i hear you say in this movie i have never seen a hous go up so quick, well if i tell you that it take only 3 to 4 minutes for a hous to be fully involved.

When a fire starts the temperature rises real fast and after a few minutes yiu get what we call a flash over this means that all other stuff in that room will ignite and you have a major fire going

  • wow, big fire

  • If this is a fully staffed Engine with at least 3 firefighters and hopefully 4...First water on fire 3:30 after the first engine is on scene = Not good.

  • @269sjb Yeah.. And when the water is finally on, they should get the first line to the corner and protect the other house left to the burning one..

  • Another pitiful display by a fire department.

  • once its recorded its no longer live

  • Your fucking stupid one engine take care of one house the other create a fucking defensive line. And yes my point of view idk how long that house is it could end right where the engine starts. So yeah fuck off if you don't like what i say don't read it.

  • @muddypowerwagon Someone sounds a little butthurt? Go run off and enjoy your simple boring civilian life. I save lives, what do you do? Exactly. Go watch more movies and re-think what you are saying.

  • Two things you probably wont read this but hey worth a try first when you go to a fire especially house never knock the windows out. Second cars DON"T explode like in the movies the bumper may fly off but they don't explode. And to the firefighters that were called to this the house is fucking gone at least save the house next to it.

  • @muddypowerwagon are you dumb? the house isn't a complete loss, the fire was contained to the SW end of the structure..

  • @USAGamingMW2 From where i'm watching at this point of view i'm seeing a lost house and you watch the vid of the next night yeah point proven. It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't wait to do the attack and i know lives come first but i saw multiple people come in and out of there. At least have the other engine create a line for the other house.

  • @muddypowerwagon E601 didn't come on scene until around 4 mins into this video, your POV? Are you not seeing the other part of the house to the right? The fire is contained to the left side of the house.

  • I wonder how often they test their hose?????????

  • Wow! Way to long to get water in that fire. What happen to RECEO? Good video. I am going to use this for sim drills.

  • Hard to watch....Scottsdale FD needs to put some pep in that step.

  • @ffp152 I agree! Isn't Scottsdale a private (Rual Metro) fire department?

  • @firemedicbm They were years ago, no they are currently not.. You DO NOT WANT TO WORK FOR RUAL METRO.

  • @ffp152 I'm assuming you don't know what it takes for us to start knocking a fire down, I can assure you they went as fast as they can, you should be glad they are professionals.

  • @USAGamingMW2 I can assure you they didn't. There are many other videos of scottsdale at work and they were a lot better than this crew. The operator had time to flake out the line, charge it, and fight some fire and the attack crew still wasn't ready. Then they decided to pull another line instead of using the charged line. I know it was only the bumper pre-connect but they could have knocked the bulk of the fire down while the driver flaked out the primary line.

  • @ntfd125 I never said SFD didn't do anything wrong? I work for a dept close to the area, they are good guys.

  • "That car is going to explode" why? Is there c4 in the trunk? Shes been watching too many movies.

  • Watch and read and you will learn that firefighters do not start putting water on a fire until they know no one is inside. Lives always come first. Always. Water on the fire creates steam which makes visibility inside worse and makes conditions for people in the house less survivable. After everyone is accounted for, they start fighting the fire from the inside first, unless the fire is far more advanced than this one.

  • @enid0mom I hope you are not a firefighter! Forget about steam being the hazard here, it's the FIRE that is causing the problem!!! The fire is producing the unlivable conditions! Firefighters put water on the fire AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before it grows further. This department seemed very slow to get water flowing in this video.

  • @rob77g60 I agree you put water on a fire as soon as possible. But not while a primary search is being done IF you don't know where victims might be. In THIS incident, the fire originated outside the structure and extended into it. In THIS incident there is no reason water couldn't have been applied much sooner than it was. But, in this video, as in every other video, the viewer can see only a small part of the fire ground. I'm not a firefighter. I am 65 and would not pass any physical.

  • @enid0mom Not knowing where victims are is even more reason to being extinguishment immediately. Yes, steam conversion can be an issue, but it is secondary to thermal issues and smoke inhalation. A person who might be effected by steam is almost certainly already in a life threatening position. Primary searches are usually a truck company function and occur simultaneously to an engine company performing fire attack (in a perfect world). I agree on the vid showing only part of the scene.

  • @rob77g60 Since this house reignited the next night, there was clearly more going on than can be seen in this video. I found a news article that said the home belonged to a hoarder and the ff had a hard time getting inside. There is a hint of that in this video. The homeowner was burned getting out of the house. What would be the special problems when a house is floor to ceiling with stuff with just a path to get through?

  • @enid0mom Problems include limited space to maneuver hose lines and tools especially with scba on, obstructed visibility, increased fire load (more things to burn = more heat), increase weight on building structural members, unknown hazardous contents, more entanglement hazards, risk of junk falling on firefighters or blocking exit paths, harder to find the seat of the fire. If the fire dept knew this was a hoarders house, that would be a good reason to take a more defensive approach.

  • Just a suggestion: try not to talk when recording video. What you say is probably not interesting to the viewer and may even make you sound unintelligent.

  • @WFDcrowbar Thanks for the advice!

  • Did you tell anyone that there might be someone inside ? Did they find anyone inside ? Are they ok ?
