  • @imfamily it´s not a song.

  • haha i love perlman! i've every one of his albums! i'm 13. it's gonna be my 14th birthday soon and every day i dream of being able to hear him play live! I think i'll be playing this soon =D

  • @Voiceofthewater why tell your age -.-

  • @Voiceofthewater why tell your age -.-

  • simply perfect ♥

  • heifetz i think? both very beautiful interpretations. but perlman really can play this piece so emotionally yet so vivacious

  • beautiful violin voice

  • Why is there even a dislike-button?

  • @Airhockeylirare For rappers.

  • 18 people really confuse me...how can you not like this??

  • Im a guitarist, and i can still recognize Perlmans skill, awesome

  • Incredible... I always get chills when I hear this part 3:23 ... Itzhak is my hero!

  • It's impossible to be more musical and more sensible than Itzhak is in that piece.

  • Splendid just heaven...

  • Perlman...always...

  • Super !!!

    Very nice !!!

  • I played violin until last summer. Beautiful instrument. I miss it with all of my heart.

  • Passionate, beautifully played.

  • Poor Justin Bieber. Needed to make 15 different accounts to dislike this...

  • @Sesamestrt Seriously? I can't even come to a video of Perlman playing Saint-Saens without seeing that name? I've seen that same comment, or slight variations of it, on literally hundreds of videos. It's. Not. Funny. Anymore. Please stop.

  • @Sesamestrt you dont understand real music...

  • @Sesamestrt Please stop it., Justin Bieber is good at what he does. Itzhak is a master of all things violin. They both do what they're supposed to do, which is entertain fans and audiences. Get out of here.

  • So talent!!!

  • 15 people don't understand music.

  • my teacher assigned me this. are all teachers this crazy?

  • @pinkbananas21 Not crazy, it just means your teacher has confidence in your talent and ability.

  • This a very good performance, recording and upload. Well done and thanks for such a joy! Best regards, dave B

  • Absolutely wonderful! Perlman is my favourite violinist from other modern violinists. Bravissimo!

  • Every time I hear this, I wish I played violin.

  • @chobeethaninov buy yourself a starter outfit and begin the journey! :)

  • Saint-Saëns was born in Paris, France on 9 October 1835. Itzhak Perlman born August 31, 1945) is an Israeli-American violin virtuoso, conductor, and master-instructor. He is widely considered to be one of the pre-eminent violin virtuosi of the 20th century. 110 year difference and still they make an emotional/musical connection.

  • ahhh!!!!! Perfection!! wow!

  • who would dare dislike this?? gah.

  • Gorgeous and Perlman is brilliant as always!

  • auton ton an8ropo o 8eos ton exei dosei poli dinami sta xeria........

  • Nonetheless, those who rated it negatively have that privilege, and to be judgmental of them is juvenile.

This is one of the finest recordings of this work, on par with those of Heifetz.

  • i don't like this song anymore, after working on it for 2 months now i'm sick of it i hate it. I am PROUD to say that i am one of 15 people whom doesn't like this song.

  • @WackyElf130 hmm it seems that most people enjoy the song after they practice it; yes though i agree that sometimes, songs become nagging after intense practice

  • 14 people must kill themself! This is AMAZING!! I don't know which word can use to describe this perfection!!

  • Incredible. Amazing. Feel sorry if someone feels otherwise...

We may be have only one radio channel in Soviet union, but we were culturaly and spiritually much richer than people here in US.

  • There are so many wonderful recordings of Saint Saens' Introduction and Rondo C on Youtube, but this one touches my heart.

  • 7:36 i love this arpeggio ! :)

  • This makes me feel so whole when I listen. :)

  • Such a beautiful piece played to near perfection by the best violinist. I strive to play this good.

  • absolument manifique!

  • This music is amazing because Saint-Saens wrote it. It's beautiful because the violinist plays it. It's awe-inspiring because Perlman performed it.

  • There are no words to describe how amazing this music is.

  • His arpeggios, spiccatos, and staccatos explode like popcorn!

  • tout simplement sublime!

  • Divine!

  • Fabilous!

  • a true and pure music doesnt need motion pictures to express itself

  • really magnificent... indeed...

  • best version ever~ i have watched this video SO MANY TIMES~ you can even hear his amazing techniques without having to see him performing.

for me the tempo is just right and his liberamente bits are so satisfying~

heifetz's precision is TOO GOOD it sounds so mechanical to me~ this version sounds like the violin is singing <3

  • @amesakurako1 I agree. I just listened to JBells and I must say, I find myself preferring to listen to Perlman's rendition<3

  • I think that I have given 375142 viewings so far

  • It's ok but I like Mr Heifetz' rendition better (see film: They Shall Have Music)

  • instantly raised the hairs on my nape and arms! so beautiful!!!

  • We saw him two or three years ago in funky little Wausau, Wisconsin. All business, no banter, just the music. Disappointing. Large ticket, but that was it. Oh well, I guess we're just here in the fly over states.

  • P.E.R.F.E.C.T.

  • He plays it perfectly~

  • Yeah, join the club situation, and could it be any different if it is

    Perlman version...

    Maestro, you're a GENIUS )))

  • What a genius was Saint-Saens!!! How could he make such an amazing combination of sounds! I feel shievers all the time when i listen it!

  • Thanks

  • HOLY SHIT! AMMAZING! <3333

  • @MasteredSoundtracks : Must you degrade this site with your course and filthy Americanism.

  • @MusicPredominates Excuse me. That was a compliment. I'm sorry if the profanity disturbs you.

  • @MasteredSoundtracks : Oh, Canadians follow Americans in their profanities do they ! How can a profanity be a compliment ?

  • @MusicPredominates My goodness! Of all the comments to hate, you just had to pick mine. I understand your hatred, but it's really rude to pick on someone just because of one word. This is the internet, and people swear a lot. You should know this. If it bothers you that much, then flag it for all I care. I am not picking a fight. No further comments.

  • @MasteredSoundtracks : Past your bedtime, I do believe. Well past !

  • This... This is exquisite. One of the best things I have ever heard coming out of a violin.

  • Bravissimo !!!

  • Splendid performance. Even with the unexpected portamento. Which did not sound bad at all.

  • Almost perfact

  • @kevinlin317 You're one to speak, learn to spell before you criticize.

  • @kevinlin317You're one to speak, learn to spell before you criticize.

  • Amazing performance, Loved it! perfect expression, dynamics, bow changes, and not 1 scratch to be heard! a perfect performance by Itzhak... Again!

  • I wish I can have an opportunity to hear him play live.

  • My very good friend plays this piece also ,but Perlman plays it like a real virtuosso!

  • My Grandmother played the Violin. When she was 16-17 she was to play the Intro Rondo Capriccioso by Saint Saens as a last performance in an Orchestra in Berkley. For 2 years she practiced and extra hour on TOP of the 4 hours a day she had always played (since she was 6) to perform this song. Two weeks before she was to play it, the Orchestra was disbanded because of WWII, and the gas tickets that everyone had to buy. It was shortly after, that she quit playing the Violin.

  • @MusicPredominates You know, he said about many Jewish musicians that it was "such a shame that [they were] Jewish". How can you call him a lover of culture if he hated people based on their ethnicities and then labeled their entire culture as evil?

  • Comment removed

  • @MusicPredominates I'm aware that Hitler was an evil man.

  • @MyErisThoughts That's so terrible!! OMG :'(

  • @MyErisThoughts they should have walked

  • @MyErisThoughts Wow that must have been awefully disappointing

  • @MyErisThoughts it doesn't follow to quit playing an instrument you have total mastery over because an orchestra disband.

Son, I hate to break it to you, but you've been lied to by an old lady who took you for a fool.

  • @Cocoheadedcannibal i dunno WWII would put a strain in most ppls life where playing an instrument was not as important as surviving...cuz u know...IT'S A WAR

  • @lilangel0072

in every war you need bards to march alongside your troops to motivate them to a glorious victory.

    joking.

  • @Cocoheadedcannibal Many people lost much during the war, including their lives.

  • I just love the passion in this song! Perlman plays like a god!

  • IS this a Sarah Chang recording or not?

  • Why does it say that it's a Sarah Chang recording?

  • This is Magnificent, i can't imagine how someone can compose this! i wish i could.

  • So I'm listening this, already getting a bit teary-eyed because this reminds me quite a bit of my childhood. Five minutes in and what do I hear coming from a car driving down the street? *UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE*. I didn't know whether to cry or slam my head on my desk T-T

  • He's very much close to perfection!!

  • oh, the passion in this piece:X

  • WOW, and i thought heifitz's interpretation was good! not that his isn't amazing either

  • never gets old.

    just like carmen fantasy.

  • the ending passage. enough said

  • if you like "rondo cappricioso" you'll certainly like "la danse macabre" from the same compositor...

  • @MsArtisIife AMEN! "La danse macabre" est parfait pour Halloween aussi, n'est-ce pas?

  • This piece is not easy to maneuver musically...

  • Just felt in Love with this pice!

  • How can he play without moving? This is obviously fake. What a phoney.

  • @ostrorawr ????????

  • @ostrorawr . You are not LISTENING for the right reason, you are LOOKING to criticize. So you are starting off on the wrong foot. Change your attitude and you will LOVE this MUSIC not VIDeo > You get this?

  • @pascal1530 Wha? What the hell? Who said I didn't like it?

  • ahh.... we played this piece.... it was so fun too. the solo is wicked fun to play. of course... no one beats the master at playing it.

  • Saint Saens was advised by The Great virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate on this classic violin composition..

  • I have heard others perform this piece. NO ONE puts the schmaltz into it like Perlman.

  • oh what wonedrful piece!!!!

I want to listening it thousand times!!

  • WOW

  • now this... this hits the spot

  • I think I could listen to this a million times and not be tired of it

I've already listened to it more than a dozen times in the past 2 days

It really lets my imagination paint pictures and makes my blood quicken. =D

Classical music usually has a similar effect on me, but this reminds me of this book I read when I was a child.

  • @JadeWeapon was it brer rabbit? :P

  • @JadeWeapon the Greatest reward an artist can receive is communication such as this. I am not an expert, professional...just philosophical. To realize that work one has done could stimulate the consciousness of some and the creativity of others hast to be most satisfactory

  • @JadeWeapon YesI have the same feeling: it's a true masterpiece! :X:X:X What book are you talking about?

  • @JadeWeapon yeah youre right... im preacticing it right now and i sometimes ask myself if saen sans really thought of all these little facettes you can hear in his music!

it is crazy. but its not even that hard to play because you feel what i should sound like. its the best peace i played ever :)

  • Interesting, but we grew up on this music: it was one of the most popular pieces on Russian (Soviet Union) radio along with Chopin, Mendelssohn, etc. Each family had a radio with only one station in the kitchen, and classical repertoire took at least 2 hours daily.

  • а ведь какю собакаю играет ! с ума сойти мжно !! или так написано. Бог знает, но с ума сойти-все-таки можно.ЭХ хорошо. душевно!!!

  • Harmony as it is ! Great Great Great!!!

  • Un GENIE!

  • This is beautiful...

  • I could listen to this ALL DAY LONG!!!!

    ahhh, soooooo beautiful!

  • Perlman's the master. Period.

  • Para mi es lo mejor, gracias por compartirlo.

  • I cannot understand people like you, who exhibit themselves in such way - if you prefer somebody's playing more, than just listen exactly to him! There is so much on Youtube.

  • Perlman is very good. I appreciate his music for this piece, but I have to say that Issac Stern had better interpretation for the music.

Issac Stern may be dead, but he's still the world's all time best violinist.

  • Lol. Sorry, typo. I ment Isaac Stern not Issac Stern.

  • No doubt, the best performance ever

    of this Saint-Saens wonderful work,

    is this Perlman's one!

  • yes no doubt..

but the renaud capucon interpretation of saint-saens is at the same level =)

  • I prefer the one by Jascha Heifetz.

  • Awesome!!

    I love it!

  • thanks a lot for posting this

  • One of my favorite music

  • so smooth. i like the heifetz version though

  • magnificent omg this is madness soooo gooood

  • muy buen vioilinista
