I hate to say it, but all these people saying Evans is the shit? Take a clear ambassador, and a clear G1, bend both of the seating rings. Evans is shit, their heads are too floppy. Ambassadors on a kit this nice, if tuned perfectly, will sustain for DAYS. Same with emperors

@diket3 Trust me dude, it's definitely the camera. I have this same kit in a 7 piece set up and it sounds great for both live and recording, although apparently not with just a camera lol.

dude trust me its the camera's, and also that most people who buy pdp's aren't good cuz they are such a good deal, trust me get some evans heads and tune it real well, u can get them to sound like a DW kit, pdp is coming out with a new series called platinum

If you notice he says hes using ambassadors which are thin and ringy heads when unmuffled. Meaning the toms had to either be tuned perfectly or muffled alot for the sound to be good; otherwise his ringy toms would peak the cameras mic. Im guessing this is the situation here.

No its a dw snare i picked up from my friend..

the stock snare sounds best when using a HEAVY head..

I use the Evans heads for the snare..

BUT on this snare i have the Powerstroke from Remo..

suck as a Bigger floor tom and a smaller tom tom.. and Dual rides..
