I've been told that the 1410 & the 1810 are pretty much the same thing (in Canada its the 1810). So hopefully you can awsner my question. Can the computer support softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign??
tell me something, would this note (net)book stand Running Lineage 2? a mmorg? i am curious...usual netbooks can't stand games or so i've heard and i don t play games...a lot...but i am curious if it would stand the game. Thank you!

I got the SU2300 version of this at the end of Dec. Aggravating problem in that it will discharge the battery 5-6% per day when completely OFF! Pulling the battery it doesn't discharge so the laptop's the problem. If you're using it every day you won't notice it. I charged it to 100% last Sunday, 6 days later I power it up and it's at 64% charge. Many others are seeing the same thing. Hopefully Acer will fix this problem. It's definitely OFF, not sleeping or hibernate. WOL is off too.
My Dell is running Windows XP Pro SP3. The bummer is that it was designed for Windows 7 Pro, and our Exchange server has moved to 7, but our people management software won't run on 7 yet. SO, I got downgraded to XP as soon as it arrived last November.
Had this not happened, I'm sure it would blaze on Windows 7 Pro. It's a Core 2 Duo with 4GB SDRAM and the Hard drive is 7200rpm. With that said, it's still pretty quick on XP.
Sure, I have a login screen on Windows 7 similar to the one you saw on XP. The reason it looks that was is because of Microsoft Exchange Server. Because my computer is permanently synced through that, it's how I log in. Comes up when it wakes up from sleep and at startup.
