@rickw1100 she did discover them though. so why would she be mad. michael and diana were good friends and she helped him but gladys discovered the jackson 5. she was in her dressing room and these group of kids came on the stage. she came out of dressing room and started calling people and got these kids into the buisness

@whitneyluv96 ... she would be mad because at the time of their introduction, even though it was Knight who discovered them, as a publicity stunt, Motown Records put out press statements saying that Diana Ross did the discovering while performing in their home town.Thats why their first album is titled "Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5". Knight brought them to the attention of Susanne de Passe, who brought them to the attention of Berry Gordy. Diana got the credit for years.

@whitneyluv96 It was actually Bobby Taylor of the Vancouvers who discovered them along with Gladys Knight. They both heard them perform and Bobby started working with them. Diana was a publicity stunt. Eventually Mike became friends with Diana, but that was after they got famous.
