I remember talking to a guy on the train on the way to the Smithfield show in the early 1980's. He had recently been to the DB factory and outside there were rows upon rows of unsold tractors. He said of them some had been stood so long that grass was growing through the footplates. The joke at the time was that would have to give them away with "Lucky Bags" ( That dates me! ) .
@13lael The only David Brown tractor ( a new 990 ) that we ever had had the dubious distinction of being the tractor that had the shortest stay on the farm! Second prize went to a Nuffield 1060 ( built when production moved to Bathgate and quality control had gone out of the window ).

@puddingmannz Someone might correct me on this, but I believe the Agriking was not ,( strangley enough,) fitted with a diff lock , which made it pretty useless at times.

Oh yes now we are talking! got i love the 1410/12 they never fail to pull! they should of kept making them up into the 94 series.
