@trainboy94 Every freight train I've ever seen come through Antioch is led by a BNSF locomotive. I was rather surprised to see the CSX engine in one of the passes caught in this video. The only trick is that some days we get a lot more freight traffic than others, but I suppose it's like that everywhere.
It was a Norfolk Southern, not a CSX locomotive on that one steal train at the end. Also, the Union Pacific has a line about a mile or 2 south of there, however it hasn't been regularly used in 20 years now, when Southern Pacific was still in business. UP is seriously considering re-activating that line sometime in the near future due to heavy traffic on their existing lines in the area.
Didn't know you were a railfan. :) Send some of that BNSF power over here,I'm tired of seeing nothing but CSX! At least NS is running some leased power again,in the form of Ex Oakway GMTX SD60s,and former UP SD60s owned by HCLX.
@SimRacin14 I love to watch the trains come by! I'm not at all up to speed on what the names of the different locomotive types are (as my brother is really into it more than I), but it's cool to see.
Trains and NASCAR! Brock you are an incredible guy!!! I've always loved trains ever since I was a little kid! Great shots of the BNSFs as well as that commuter train!
@nadeau1064 Never ever! I'm lucky enough to live close to the Trans-Continental Railroad so I always hear the horns of the Union Pacific and Amtrak trains going buy. I love it. I go and watch them whenever I can. We they go by, there's nothing like it.
@trainboy32 I'm not, but my brother's been thinking about it. He's actually a bigger railfan than I am and is currently working on an N-scale layout of his own.
